A few observations about Rashard.....
He has soft hands and was excellent in blitz pick up. Willie struggles with catching the ball and blocking techniques. Rashard is our new number one back. He showed some physical play the other night.

Re: A few observations about Rashard.....
He still scares me in the way he carries the ball. He swings his arm like a pendulum. He did a good job the other night of bringing it in for contact but there is a disaster waiting to happen.
Mendy played with purpose. I think that was something he has not done before. Hopefully he will keep that chip on his shoulder (even if it the one with screws in it) the rest of the season.
Unfortunately, San Diego and probably Detroit are not the real tests for our O-line.

Re: A few observations about Rashard.....
I think rashard has adrian peterson-like potential.
i too am concerned about how he carries the ball. however, i do not have big-ass fuckin' cannons like he does, so i give him a bit of a reprieve. i would like to see him cover the ball up more pre-contact.
the question remains in my head too: can the oline do this against minnesota and beyond? i am not sure. if i got to bet on it, i would bet against them right now. the minnesota game should be the next telling sign. if rashard continues to be given the nod, he should be around, if not over, 100 yards the next two games.
the line seemed like they played with a purpose too. they should get an observations thread.
