Interesting AP report for week 3 on Carter
PITTSBURGH (AP)—Steelers safety Tyrone Carter(notes) should practice later this week despite a bruised left thigh and is expected to play Sunday against Cincinnati.
Coach Mike Tomlin said that Carter, filling in for the injured Troy Polamalu(notes), might be limited in practice Wednesday but should be ready later in the week.
Carter was in coverage for both Chicago touchdowns as the Steelers lost 17-14 on Sunday.
Afterward, Carter said he probably shouldn’t have been on the field when he gave up Johnny Knox’s(notes) touchdown catch with 6:21 left because he couldn’t cover Knox by himself while hurt.
Tomlin said Tuesday that he wouldn’t second-guess his decision to keep Carter in the game, and that he trusts the medical staff to make the right decision whether he could play.
I cannot believe that they allowed this guy WITH A LEG INJURY to continue covering a guy with lightening speed!!! This just blows my mind! How on earth they just didnt put in Mundy is beyond my comprehention!

I cannot believe Mendy didn't see the bal more in 2nd half, Miller didn't get touches in 2nd half (same damn thing as last year!)
Why is that? Heath is a zone liller, gets 4-5 touches in 1st half then is off the board. Why?
BTW, has "security protocols" changed? I cannot enter in with old name "mckeesrockstheburg" as a "webhost" alert keeps me out on my home PC. (Using new name from laptop)
I must say, from all my carping about the Blood Clot, I thought he called a decent game, at least on 1st few drives. Some creative juices kicked in but STILL, we cannot pile drive the middle of these &^%$ D-lines. Forget it, please! Mendy's trap or whatever it was that sprung him for 40 was old Steeler ball there.
Also, did I miss the no-huddle drive when I went to the bathroom? Otherwise, I'm not sure I saw one. Wrong?
