Average Team?

Postby indysteel » Sun Sep 20, 2009 7:42 pm

Only two games into the season. OT win against the Titans....maybe, OK.

A loss to this Bears team? Like they lost? With the mistakes and penaltys? Dropped passes? Missed FGs? Kinda hard to put this one on BA.

We might be looking at a REAL AVERAGE TEAM.

I will say this much --- Gay and Ike best get their collective shit together and learn how to defend. Ike, of course, chipped in with his obligatory dropped INT. Gay spent the entire afternoon trying to figure out where the lake was at so he'd have a reference point for covering his man. Pathetic excuse for professionals today. Pathetic.

Good point.

I do not think that, at this point in the season we are playing our best football. So, Yes..I think we are average at best, presently.

We need to evolve and that doesn't happen overnight.

It sucks to lose, especially to an average team with horrific WR's.

Its a long week...and season ahead.

I remember feeling this way last year just after the loss to the Eagles, even though we have never beat them there after the league merger, or since 1952. I think that they are still trying to get the rust knocked off and it will take some time for them to come alive... God I hope I'm right. I want a repeat S.B.

The real problem was Tyrone Carter. Although you are correct in pointing out that Gay was well Gay - tonight. I saw hime get turned around several times and other time I watched him shamefully flailing like a faggot reaching for a flute. DeShea looked bad too. Very very poor defense tonight
