The evidence is overwhelming. When Ben calls the plays, we move the ball effectively. When he has to take orders from the sidelines, things go poorly. My theory is that Tomlin is not a micromanager and doesn't want to hurt BA's feelings by taking the reigns away from his OC. Any other theories out there?

Maybe Ben wants more money to call the plays. After all it would be an added responsibility thereby warranting added compensation.

I think that Arians biggest problem is paly calling and not so much his plays... It is obvious as pointed out here that when Ben calls the plays its brillance but when Arians calls them its not so successful.

The guy might be a great playbook genius but if he cant read a defense and call a play from what he sees then... well we get the picture right

I wonder if Ben made all the call would the defenses adjust to his patterns. It could that all the calls from Arians are bland and perdictable, but the other issues is that is what the opposing team game plans against. Also with the no huddle the defense can not substitute players.
