Ben hurts knee in practice today
Uh-Oh.
Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) tweaked his knee during practice Wednesday, June 3. He was limping heavily but it did not appear to be a serious injury. Head coach Mike Tomlin declined to discuss the injury.

Roethlisberger was limping due to left knee discomfort during an optional team practice Wednesday, but did not appear to be injured.
Roethlisberger, who led the Steelers to two Super Bowl victories the last four seasons, had some problem walking when he left the team's training complex but his knee was not bandaged. Neither Roethlisberger nor coach Mike Tomlin discussed Roethlisberger's problem, and Tomlin said there would be no update.

Roethlisberger left the field during the Steelers' morning practice after the problem developed, and was examined along the sideline by trainer John Norwig. Roethlisberger apparently did not need any medical attention and began stretching his leg before practice ended.
Neither Roethlisberger nor coach Mike Tomlin discussed Roethlisberger's problem, and Tomlin said there would be no update.
Roethlisberger is scheduled to play golf Friday in an event at Bethpage Black, the site of this month's U.S. Open.

In June, reporters call this a tweak.
In July, it would be a sprain.
In August, they'd refer to it as a strain.
In September, it would be an injury.
I hope he stays off the knee and does not not chase the white ball this weekend.

I don't think he would injure it more playing golf. I haven't seen his swing but I don't imagine he puts the torque on the knee like a pro. If it's sore at all he shouldn't play, but if he wakes up and it's fine I don't see this as an issue. The walk might be good for it. It's only 18 holes and it sounded like a scramble format.

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger injured his knee during practice Wednesday, June 3, when his knee collided with RB Willie Parker's knee. Parker said Roethlisberger is doing fine.
Roethlisberger wore a black wrap around his knee during practice Thursday, June 4, but that was the only evidence of any type of injury. Roethlisberger was able to stretch with his teammates before practice and work with the first-team offense. Neither head coach Mike Tomlin nor Roethlisberger would comment on what happened to the quarterback's knee.
