Need Help: Tix - Advice
Ok, here is the deal. Lived in Point Breeze growing up, Sacred Heart Elementary, Coming back to the promised land from Wyoming for first time since leaving in 8th grade in 1983. Wife has given permission.
Buddy and I have sights set on San Diego game October 4.
1. Ideas on appropriate hotel / area to stay in city for the weekend that is conducive to walking to all locations, and enjoying the pub sights of the steel city, and mingling with my stiller bretheren?
2. I expect we will have to utilize some overpriced stubhub route for a tix. But, figured I would throw it out there to see if their were any kind stillers.com souls who may have a connection. Promise to return any hospitality or favor to any yinsers travelling through wyoming some day.
Any other thoughts or advice appreciated. See you in October regardless.

1.) The Hilton is the closest hotel, but not entirely nice. The Renaissance is great and has a nice bar. The Omni is my favorite hotel downtown. Beautiful, fancy, nice bar, good location. It can be pricey, but I've often scored great rooms there for under $100/night.
2.)The steelers sell a few hundred seats to each game on ticketmaster some time in July. I've had good luck getting seats at face this way the past few years. Unfortunately, these are usually crappy seats (EZ Uppers).
In addition, every Tuesday or Wednesday before home games, they often release a handful of good seats (corner, 100 level), also available on ticketmaster. I've scored great seats this way, at face.
Good luck!
