Pats getting much love, again.

Postby stillchest » Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:07 am

I have to admit, on paper the Pats had one hellavu draft..trading out of the first round...adding two more second round picks in 2010.

Cheating aside," a class organization", is what many pundits are saying this morning.

What I do not understand, why don't
other elite organizations, such as ourselves take this approach?

We could have easily traded out of the first round, drafted value in the second, while adding some early round picks for 2010.

We are talented enough to do this, yet we never do. The only extra picks we acquire are through comp picks. It makes little sense?!

I also, think we are a class organization, none of the pundits really have given us much attention, barely mentioning our selections this weekend. Who won two out of the past four Super Bowls?

Not the Pats...matter of factly, what have the Pats won in the past four seasons?

Nothing..they have won nothing.

Yet, today the media would have us believe, the Pats have been champions, consecutively for 10 years.

Sickening.

I think every friggin yr since 2001, the Pats have been the odds-on favorite to win the SB at the beginning of the yr. I hope the Jetz, Bills, & Dolphins freakin' steamroll that over-the-hill D.

New England always seems to accumulate extra picks via trading players or their own picks.I wish the Steelers would do more of that but with 2 Sup Bowls in 4 years I can't bitch too much.
I have no problem with them being the favorites again.People can say "yes the Steelers won 2 SB's but in each case they didn't have to face the Pats".The scenario I'd like to see is NE vs PITT in the AFC Champ in 2009 for the right to claim team of the decade.

Bottom line is, in 2008 tha Pats had a chance at football immortality..and they just were not good enough.

I think that, during Cowher's tenure, he was out-schemed by Bellicheat..I think that Tomlin is much, much more of a strategist than Billy Cowher ever was.

I hope we meet those cheating, backward dealing, narcissistic pricks in an AFC Championship game, to end all this hype, year after year of, how the Pats and Bellicheat are other-worldly, infallible, and immortal football gods.

The Pats do draft well, gotta give them their props. That said...there is no team I hate more than those fuckers. From Tom Brady to the 53rd guy on the roster....

You guys DO realize that the Steelers have won TWO Super Bowls now since the Pats won their last, right? :) That thought gives me joy.

The Pat dynasty blather will not end until Brady retires and Bellicheat is dead.

We have their sponsors, ESPN, NFL Radio , and the NFL Network pimping their stock, year in, year out.

The Pats have won nothing in four seasons, yet they receive the most coverage of any team in the NFL?!

Hell, they even were poped for cheating, doesn't matter, that subject gets buried beneath our Earth, as if it never happened.

I just do not understand the media obsession with them?!?!???
