Steelers sign a CB

Postby thesteelhammer » Tue Mar 17, 2009 6:48 pm

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms with CB Fernando Bryant on a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

again, just a re-signing of a guy who couldn't beat out Mcfadden, so is not a replacement for him.

Bryant played two games for Pittsburgh last season, notching three tackles. Bryant, who is entering his 11th NFL season, has notched 109 career starts. He turns 32 on March 26.

i think the front office is confused.

when rooney told them to sign harrison and bryant, he meant james and mcfadden, not arnold and fernando!

god damn it :sushootem:

This guy always has been a bum. I f-cking hate when they sign dudes purely based on how cheap they can get them. Cheap sons of bitches.

Even tho I'm not thrilled w/ the signings of The Colon, Maxipad, Kemotherapy, & Essex. at least some continuity. There are 3 CB's who may fall in their lap at 32: V.Davis, Alfon Smith, or DJ Moore. Davis has the best size but Smith has awesome ballhawk skills (21 INT) & is decent return guy, while Moore is an awesome return guy. The need to replace McFadden.

Kemotherapy?!?

I don't know if I should laugh at something so strange, or look embarrassed from such dark humor.
