ben finally gets his do in the media!

Postby darthsteel » Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:07 am

Just think if hartwig does'nt hold in the endzone this goes down as a boring win almost in the class of sbxl in the media's eyes. They would have said ben made some nice plays and did not cost his team the game.
Now just about everyone on espn and nfl network have put ben on the brady manning level becuase of 1 historic drive that would have never happened if hartwig does not get called for holding.

Steve young, chris carter, marshal faulk and trent dilfer who have not been a big ben fan, basically always calling him a game manager for the last 5 yrs have licked his balls for the last 2 hrs like you would not believe. All 4 of them have said over and over ben is now elite and is on the same level as manning and brady with this historic pressure drive for the sixth time this season capped off in the biggest game of the yr.

unreal, all because hartwig holds in the endzone ben gets the accolades he deserves !

They are ALL eating out of Bens hand.. ball sweat and all. Dilfer, esp. It's just bittersweet to hear that in 50 years that we will be talking about the drive that Ben Roethlisberger orchestrated one of the prettiest drives in Superbowl History! Ben Roethlisberger is ELITE and is hungry for more!!!

thing that is scary is that this team may be even better next year. timmons should be a starter, and sweed/mendenhall will see play time and i think they both have promise. a few replacements on o-line and this team will look like the 90's dallas offense

sweed and mendy have all the tools to be probowl calibre players, sadly I think over the next season or 2 we will see parker fazed out of the starting lineup. I say sadley because I like willy as a person off the field with his work ethic to get to the nfl ect....

decent oline equalls a dynasty. I would seriously think about breaking the bank on the top left tackle (to protect bens blind side) in free agency(forgot his name) after dumping marvel/starks/kemo's salary and then don a nice job in the draft at left guard.
get rid of three deadbeats and pay 1 stud!

time to build a line ,but considering ben and the defense is gonna reach thier prime in a few yrs you cannot rely on the draft and or waste your possible glory yrs on avg free agents.
spend money on one elite tackle!
