good article Still Mailman. Ray lewis is a piece of shit. I hope he goes to the Cowboys because their defense will suck twice as much. What a slow, fat, worthless dick he is. Ed Reed was invisible yet again in the games that count. And finally, after hearing about his awesome electrifying skills, Flacco proves that he was a rookie, he sucks, and can't come back when down. The ravens need to get rid of half their roster and start over.

The Super Bowl is too far away for my taste. I can't wait to watch it. I really hope the Steelers and can bring #6 to Pittsburgh. Seeing them go 12-4 in the regular season with one of the hardest schedules in NFL history was outstanding not to mention making the Super Bowl as well. And for those who think Hines ward will not play, I hope you are only kidding. People forget who Hines ward really is. He is the Man. enough said. He will play.

Simms is a worthless cunt who sucks at announcing. His bias comments going against the Steelers pissed me off so much that I was ready to march down to Pittsburgh myself and tell him he sucks. haha.

Lets hope for a great Super Bowl 43!!! GO STEELERS!! :subngtowl:

Nice article!

Just to elaborate on a point you made about the late hits on Ben, I think the reason the league didn't fine Clark was because they would have had to fine 3 or 4 Ravens for late hits on the QB and blows to the head or leading with their helmets all against Ben. They would never readily admit that the refs fughed up a game so much.

And a side note:

Anybody else thinking that we will see CryBaby Faneca support the Cards this week. We all know how the sports channels love ex-players, see ARE on the sideline doing post game interviews, I am going to bet that Faneca will not support the Steelers when he is interviewed about his favorite Ex-coach facing the team that made him.

I had to look this one up, but

Superbowl IX John Kolb started RT for the Steelers
Superbowl X John Kolb started LT for the Steelers

as far as I can tell he was the first.

Joe Jacoby started at left tackle in Super Bowl XVII, XVII, and XXII.
He started at right tackle in Super Bowl XXVI.

In all seriousness, why isn't Jacoby in the Hall of Fame?

"Please get some unbiased announcers for the Super Bowl."

John Madden hates the Steelers, always has and always will. Al Michaels' bias will reveal itself - whomever he bet on.

Nice article, though. I'm with you that the announcers were pulling for Baltimore ("WOW ED REED IS SUCH A GREAT SAFETY" as Polamalu seals the game with one play) and it sucked because they're two announcers I can usually stand.

I don't think any announcers like the Steelers! Glad I am lucky enough to have a good friend hook me up with a ticket to the game so I don't have to listen to them.

I think the Cards have blown their wad and will not do so well on Feb 1st. They have done a decent job against the run in the playoffs, but if Hines is 100% we should be able to move the ball without too much trouble. Need to get TD's in the red zone and stop settling for field goals.

If holding is called on whoever "attempts" to block Harrison they will have a lot of 3rd and longs and we should have a lot of sacks or at least pressures. Troy is destined for a big game again - #43 lighting them up in Super Bowl 43!!

GO STEELERS!!!!!!

Isn’t it sickening to watch Ray pray for McGahee and he bragged about hurting Mendenhall?

I said it at the time and I stand by it.

Ray's "prayer" was just more self promotion from the poster child of the NFL.

He completely separated himself from the rest of his teammates, knelt down and was sure that the cameraman could cut in close to him and get a shot of the "completely selfless and devoutly religious" RayRay. There was no reason that he had to take a knee and pray so close on the field of play.

I don't doubt that he was concerned for McGahee, but I'm quite confident that he knew exactly how it would play out on TV and took full advantage of the opportunity.

Well put, ShawnLucas. Well put indeed. The Knife knew exactly what he was doing.
And, Nantz fell for it hook, line, & sinker.

Speaking of Nantz...
Mailman...we all agree...(well, most of us agree ;) ).

I'm still holding out hope for Sweed. It would be nice to see him take off next year and really get a grasp of the playbook. I thought I remember hearing he was having problems with the transition into the pro's.

And to answer your question about Lanza. I believe he was the center before or during the beginning years of Dawson. Got a good picture of him as he was walking off the field in Carlisle PA during the scrimmages against the Redskins. Hopefully I'll be able to post it once I figure this shit out.

Miss those Carlisle days.
