Have come against base 4-3 defenses. I don't think that is a coincidence. The Steelers defense has been very good this year and a big reason for that has been the ability to rush 4 and drop 7. Sure the Eagles and Giants used blitzes, but they were also able to rush just 4 to get an effective push. What does this mean? IDK. I do know that Pittsburgh tried its damnedest to not get beat by this scheme today, at least I think I know that. A good rush 4 drop 7 defense can get pressure two ways; rushing the ends up field and allowing the DT's to push the pocket (Tennessee) or by using the speed of the players up front and stunting and twisting guys (Indy). Obviously nobody does the same thing every play and all teams who apply pressure with just 4 use both schemes, but I would expect a team to play to it strengths. Tennessee's would be to rush the ends and let their monsters in the middle do their thing. My observation from watching the game was that the Steelers fully expected this and had several draw play audibles from several formations for when Ben thought he might could catch the defense playing this style. Great coaching/game planning really. Only the other guy on the sidelines is Jeff Fisher, and he may know a thing or 4000 about coaching himself, maybe? You know, and maybe that was former Pro-Bowler Keith Bullock that reacted and made a good play or even pre-snap recognition on defense. Hmm, the Titans do have a good defense. That's probably enough of that on my part, I think we all get the point that nobody really knows what happened on the field except for the players. I don't know how to beat a good defense with players that don't match up on offense. Ha, uhhhhhh don't we have 11 wins?


Pittsburgh has got to find a way to run the ball. In all of our losses the Steelers have been ineffective on the ground. I was pleased with the coaching effort today because I think they spotted the same trend of an ineffective ground game and really made an effort to establish the run. I mentioned in another thread that the stretch play where Parker picks his way has got to go, but their is hope still to me that the PS will run the ball effectively. Despite the fact that today we took it on the chin.

Well said. Our issues with a 4-3 base defense especially those you have a solid front 4, the steelers continuously blow at making
adjustments. Bruce "AIRHEAD" dum fuck faggot arians, is absurd. Although, I did feel he actually called his best game all season.

ISN'T much to say, but still it wasn't that bad actually, minus the dum ASS draws that took about 20 years to develop, which in reality is
another "sack" and drive stopper.

For the defense,

We looked swallowed up by their offensive line, Collins looked amazing against our D picking up 3rd and 20's like its just another
day at the office for him.

The TITIES ABUSED US ON FIRST DOWN, ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED OUR DEFENSE ON FIRST DOWN,
SKULL FUCKED AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU WANT TO USE.

Special teams sucked. All together a total lack luster effort from all fascists of the game.
BUT,
I can say I called this happening blah blah, but I felt it was a "trap" game so to speak coming into Week 16's matchup with the tits. PEOPLE we just came off the toughest stretch of football any TEAM in the NFL'S history had to endeavor. Moreover, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be fine.

The TITIES are coming off a bad lost and the Stillers are coming off a few emotional wins in a row, clinched division, and cliched bye. EXCUSES,EXCUSES right?

Well, I'm for one am glad we lost, it's going to slap us in the face for the good. "Our attitude is one game at a time, with the tities, Lendale White stomping on his bootleg ass fake terrible towel on the back of our minds" BTW, when is the last time we won a home afc championship?

It's never good to lose but I like this lost in that current situation. It came against a team we are going to see again. In the same house,
with a complete different outcome.

The game is going to be a slugfest that the TITIES will struggle to get 200 yards on offense. AND
WHO KNOWS ABOUT OUR BUM OF AN OFFENSE. NO RUNNING GAME AND NO ADJUSTMENTS THROUGHOUT THE GAME.

Oh yea, some one please kidnap Bruce and pour acid into his eyes. That is what I think about that bum. He is a bum. It lies in the hands
of Ben Roethlisberger whether we receive another ring or not and BRUCE NOT BEING A TERRIBLE MIDDLE SCHOOL COACH. BIG BEN turns the ball over we lose, he doesn't we win, its as simple as that for our 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers.
