Idea to get rid of Arians
It's obvious to me that the press picks up ideas first posted on this board.
Also, the Stillers are in the playoffs, and should go deep. What happens to everyone who is part of a winning team? Their stock goes up. Look at Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weis getting big head coaching jobs. It's now obvious they weren't any part of the "genius" up in N.E.
So, start a bunch of topics on how Arians is actually a brilliant play caller. Let the press run with it. Soon it'll be on ESPN on how Bruce is brilliant, hides all the big plays until late in the 4Q.
Then in the offseason he gets a HC job, preferably within the division.

You can jack off all you want about Arians.....and to some extent, I don't think anyone will disagree....however....
1. A 11-3 record...
2. With no Pro Bowlers to speak of...
3. A shitty offensive line...
4. FWP is constantly spraining his dick....
5. Tokio homes is having a poor year.
6. Your playing the toughest schedule of the year.
Fuck, Arians must be doing SOMETHING right.

PRO BOWL VOTE PROVES TOMLIN’S VALUE TO STEELERS
Posted by Mike Florio on December 16, 2008, 5:42 p.m.
Steeler Nation currently is up in arms regarding the fact that only three members of the team — James Harrison, James Farrior, and Troy Polamalu — won a spot on the the AFC Pro Bowl roster, with only two of them (Harrison and Polamalu) named as starters.
But let’s be objective. Look at the full roster, and ask yourself if the Steelers’ starters at the other positions are better than the guys who made it.
Running back Willie Parker has been too banged up, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has spent too much time running for his life. The offensive line has more holes than Andy Reid’s donut stash. Receiver Hines Ward doesn’t have the numbers, and receiver Santonio Holmes hasn’t exactly put together a breakout year in that supposedly critical third season for a wideout.
On defense, the cornerbacks are good but not close to the three who made it (Asomugha, Finnegan, Revis), and the defensive line has no dominant presence that can overcome the stats-suppressing 3-4 system.
The only guy with a real beef is linebacker LaMarr Woodley, who should have made it over Suggs. Even then, however, it’s a close call.
In our view, the entire exercise draws into clear focus the value of second-year coach Mike Tomlin to the Steelers. With a lineup not stocked with the best players in the league, Tomlin has led his team capably through one of the toughest schedules in NFL history.
The fact that the Steelers stand on the brink of swiping the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs from the Titans underscores the brilliance of Tomlin’s work.
And so the real snub that should send Steelers fans en masse toward 280 Park Avenue with pitchforks and torches would be a Coach of the Year designation that goes to anyone other than Tomlin.

Re: Idea to get rid of Arians
Stillers need to get back to Steelers Football. Big FB, not single back in 2 tight end sets all the time. I was envious the other night looking at the size of the Ravens Back. They would fit Black and Gold well.
Re: Idea to get rid of Arians
Don't misunderstand...I'm not trying to defend him.
Merely pointing out that despite all our disgust, we are still setting pretty.
It is simply illogical to continue to criticize a guy who, despite everything, is fighting for the 1 seed.
Just like we can't give him ALL credit for the success, we certainly cannot give him credit for when the system totally breaks down either.
Frankly, I don't care how they win...I feel better when it is "pretty" but that really is not very meaningful.
Also, we should be careful what we wish for ---- a sub 500 season with a new O coordinator and we will be wishing for Arians back.

Re: Idea to get rid of Arians
my screen name says it all. He makes no adjustments and will continue to suck. Why the fuck doesn't he ever run no huddle early on in the game and get a fucking lead then he can turtle his garbage ass bad high school plays together. Another thing that works a lot is the trips bunch to one side then he will stop calling it. Fucking run the same formations until the other team fucking stops it. He is a moron. He is the reason we are 11-3 and not undefeated. Or at the worst 13-1. If you honestly feel Arians is any reason we are having a successful season please jump off the nearest bridge head first. Last time I checked our defense is THE ONLY REASON we are having a successful season.
