Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
Which team do you absolutely, positively not want to meet in the playoffs? Why?

I would have to say the Ravens, b/c they hate us so much and always play us tough. And now that they finally have a competent QB, it's going to be tough beating Baltimore for years to come. We really need Rashard to come back strong next year to have a punishing back to match up against them.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
Tennessee doesn't scare me much
NE isn't what they used to be, I don't see a threat from them especially in our house
MIA just doesn't have personnel that can match us
NJ, Favre is way too inconsistent
Indy scares me a little. They have a lot of momentum on their side and are finally getting healthy.
Baltimore always plays us tough, and they're looking strong.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
I wouldn't say scare, because I know anything can happen on a "given Sunday", but I have predicted Indy coming to Pittsburgh for the Divisional round game! That doesn't make me feel all warm and toasty inside! Probably the winner to the SB.
I worry about Manning, and you know the media will be slobbering all over themselves about a possible Manning vs Manning bowl!!!!

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
There is no particular team that scares me, but my stomach will be tied in knots for the entire playoffs due to the fact that every week is an elimination game.
Tennessee is primarily a running team and Collins can occasionally do it with smoke and mirrors. We'll see them in more depth next week. They might scare me after that game, and they've found a way to win game after game, but I think the Steelers D can handle 'em.
The Broncos suck and aren't even streaky. They just suck. I have no idea how they've won 8 games.
The Jets are decent, but they're dependent on Favre having a good game, which is a hit or miss proposition, unless they go back to their old way of handing the ball off to Thomas Jones and having Favre play "game manager".
The Colts struggled early, but now control their destiny and NE and Pitt both had the chance to severely damage their possibilities in consecutive weeks and could not get the job done. They're one team that can throw a monkey wrench into the works.
The Rats are a good team who has rallied behind their rookie QB and rookie head coach. However, the playoffs are a different story and if we can get them in Heinz, I think we win. If we lose this game and somehow pig fuck away that #2 seed, I don't like our chances against them.
The Pats are too injured this year and don't have that same ambiance among them. The Dolphins are a nice story and Joey Porter would have much to say in the week leading up to the game, but I think the Steelers would crush them.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
My most worrisome matchup would be:
1. Indy (Petyton is always tough but get him out of the dome in cold weather)
2. Tenn (There defense is tough as well and the O has shown signs of life)
3. Baltimore (never like to play anyone three times)
4. NE (We played a great game here but I don't see all the drops from NE WR's if we meet again)
That being said. I can guarantee you that we are near the top of anyone elses list in the conference with our defense. What has to totally scare teams is that with any amount of offensive consistency our D will look even better.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
The scariest team in the playoffs will be someone we won't even face...it's the Pittsburgh Steelers. Everyone else will have us at the top of their list...so, IMHO, there is no one scarier. With our defense, every quarterback and wide receiver should take out an extra insurace policy. Every team in the post season is capable of winning, but, I really like our chances.
But first, we need to put away and shut up the Ratbirds this weekend. This is the season in a nutshell. Deflate and defeat the Shitbirds and everything else is a piece of cake. I can't look past Sunday right now.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
Amen, Bomberman. As someone else said, not only must we take this one week at a time and focus on this sunday, but our "playoff picture" actually improves drastically by beating the Mavens. All the sudden we're not groping for position, but sitting pretty for the most part. That having been said, I think Indy will be the toughest, but they definitely don't scare me. GO STEELERS!!!

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
Tennessee has gotten fat eating the sick, weak and wounded bison in the herd. The Stillers have had to fight and claw their way through the NFL's toughest schedule. We are battle hardened. Of course Indy and Balty concern me more than any other team in the AFC. We will see at least one or maybe both those teams in Jan. Eyeball the Titans schedule this year look at the opponents combined record. Tennessee wont make it past the divisional round.

Something inside of me tells me to watch out for Manning and the Colts.
..Would love to have them here in January, no doubt.

Re: Steeler playoffs: Who scares you the most?
I don't like our matchup against the doncos.
When they get hot, they might be able to get a bit around this D and maybe outdo lebeau. And we all know the only reason the Steelers are any good this year is the D.
They'll probably be the hardest o to shut down that makes it to the playoffs.
They're the perfect dark horse upset.
