Sportscenter's top 10 Cowboys /Stillers moments

Postby westeelbelieve » Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:18 am

Last night ,ESPN had their top 10 moments and at number 4 they had Super Bowl XXX, when Neil made Larry Brown 50 million dollars richer by gift wrapping those two picks to him.

they showed an interview clip of O'Donnell after the game and some of us remember or not he said this : " It was warm out there (the weather in Arizona), and it (the ball) slipped out of my hand, those things don't happen and that's not the character of Neil O'Donnell, I'm not the one that throw a lot of interceptions".

neil did have a low int rate in NFL history, 2.11 int's per 100 pass attempts, but those two picks in SB XXX were just unforgivable, right to Larry Brown with not one Black Jersey within 20 yards of him.

Of course, number 1 was Jackie Smith dropping that gimme td pass in SB XIII

"It was warm that day and it slipped out of my hand"? Twice? Because it was fucking WARMMMMM??????? Good excuse, Neil. Whatever keeps you from being thin-sliced and dumped into the Jersey swamps by gangsters.....

It's funny how the #1 clip is the media's version of Dallas dropping "what would have been a game winning TD". whatever, we still won that game by 7. If that stupid catch had been made, we would have won by three with an extra field goal at the end of the 4Q or OT. America's team, huh? Not my America. Bring on the Cowgirls.

If I remember correctly, he didn't ride back to the 'burgh on the same plane as the rest of the team. plus, he never played for the steelers again. he went directly to the jets.

then... a few years later...

steelers vs bengals.

steelers think neil is going to spike the ball to stop the clock. instead, odummel throws a td pass.

after XXX, he should have become Hoffa's next door neighbor.

NFL films allows you to download just about anything from their annals to IPOD or through Amazon. I think you have to pay for it.
