Tomlin nominated for Coach of the Week
Not that Motorola coach of the week is very meaningful whatsovever, but I did think that Tomlin did a really good job this week. I even liked the surprise onside kick in the beginning of the game, I think it shows the confidence that he has in our defense which he eluded to after the game and I love the aggressiveness which I think everybody has been looking for more of out of our team (particularly in protecting/building leads). Kudos to Tomlin and the entire staff (Arians even managed to not be a detriment this week)

McLovin an unabashed Cowher fan and wanted Whiz to replace him. However Tomlin starting to grow on McLovin. McLovin thinks Tomlin a bit of a mugger for cameras but McLovin willing to give this greenhorn some time. I've been impressed with the team effort through a pretty rough patch of injuries. The problems on this team are mainly on the offensive side of the ball...not Tomlin's area of expertise. Special teams have improved from last year but a return man is still needed. McLovin will be anxious to see if Tomlin stays loyal to Arians and Larry Porn in the off season. Despite our bitching there are a lot worse offenses in the NFL. A coach of the week award good confidence builder for Mike even if LeBeau's defense is carrying him much the way Buddy Ryan's defense carried Ditka in '85.
Re: Tomlin nominated for Coach of the Week
Tomlin is a leader of men. He doesn't put up with crap. He works his ass off preparing, and leads by example. He doesn't put up with any crap. Ask the Big Snack or San-tokio. It seems to me like he has as much control of a team as any coach can have these days. It ain't easy dealing with overpaid prima-donnas.
McLovin is dead right that Tomlin has concentrated on improving special teams, and has turned what used to be every week's potential nightmare into a strength. We can't underestimate what that has meant.
His inexperience has shown itself at times....the inability to make in-game adjustments against the Eagles, for example, was Arians' failure, but Tomlin is Arians' boss, and that's where the buck stops. I imagine he will focus next on rebuilding the OL - including using or developing some players already on the roster - and we can hope to see improvement there next year.
I wonder what Tomlin will look like with white hair under that Steelers cap. My hunch is that we'll find out.
He has the best coaching job in football, and - given his track record and that of the Rooneys - it looks like he'll keep that job for a long time.

Explains why you speak in the third person all the time. One reason I don't frequent here. Delusions of grander.
Hard to ever take anything you say seriously. Congrats!

Isn't a troll somebody who is a fan of another team? Where are you getting McLovin dislikes the Steelers? That's some hard-hitting analysis Nel...what is your job on the Stillers.com "team" exactly? McLovin's guess is when people like you and Mill encounter people who disagree with your opinion you try to run them off with terms like "troll". You're quite the Internet tough guy Nel!
