Smith kind of a no brainer. Mill ripped Clark's performance saying he got trucked by B. Jacobs. McLovin saw Clark's perfomance completely different. He did see Clark laughing with his teammates about Jacobs running him over on a first quarter run. But Jacobs had only 39 yds total and Clark was in on more than one of those goal line tackles. Great performance by the entire D stopping one of the top rushing teams in football. For a man without a spleen Clark sure played with a lot of heart. Tremendous hit on Steve Smith knocking him off the ball saving a sure touchdown. McLovin not saying Clark is hard hat winner, but he deserves his due.

I agree Clark played his heart out. He was tenacious all game. I also think Mewelde Moore should have received some consideration for running hard while filling in yet again.

But the choices of Smith and especially Keisel, who was an animal all day, were right on the money.

Oh McLovin agrees Keisel played great...this defense head and shoulders better than last years unit. With Keisel back and healthy and Hoke allowed to spell fat Casey the DL is a rock. The front 7 as a whole seems a whole lot faster with Timmons, Woodley, and Harrison flying all over the field. But to McLovin the biggest improvement is in the secondary with Clark and Troy healthy and McFadden finally get his chance. If the offense keeps posting 4 yds per quarter as it did in the 4th against the giants look for the defense to win the hard hat week after week.
