"Why does no one want to admit that Tomlin may not bust dick's and Arians' balls because he's not allowed by the Rooneys themselves? I mean would Josh McDaniels have fucked Denver up for the next couple seasons at least if he hadn't been given the authority by ownership?"
I'll admit it. It's pretty fucking obvious. Has been for some time. Maybe Arians is like those board room engineers that I used to know and work with. They could talk a blue streak in board meetings and thus upper management loved them. They usually got their way. When it came time to produce something, though, they were miserable failures. But they always had a witty and eloquent excuse that got them by.
Thinking back, though, this seems to be the Rooney way. Remembering the Joe Walton era. Joe Walton was a personal friend of the Rooneys and he needed a job. So they hired him. He was a miserable failure as an offensive coordinator but even Noll couldn't get rid of him. Noll would stand on the sidelines with that stoic look on his face that we've seen in Cowher and now in Tomlin, while ol' Joe, with his baseball cap turned around backwards, would call one stupid play after another. All the while Noll was taking the heat.

Well, this Sunday will be an interesting proof for Mill's argument. Dick's "meal ticket," as Mill calls Troy P in reference to LeBeau is out. Sanchez is sans cred as far as I'm concerned. Good defensive coaching should eliminate much of the Tonio threat since the Jets offense has been a shitty as ours. And speaking of ours, looks like Heath will still be on the bench. This is a game we have the talent to win Troy or no Troy. But I wonder if Arians realizes that we have only two offensive TDs in our last 30 possessions. Troy will be out. That means the offense MUST score touchdowns.
You asked with your eyes Trent, you asked with your eyes.
