Agree 100% but it is Arians' fault twice. The only reason opponents defenses can figure out such schemes is because he does the same thing in the same situations over and over again. It's a failed double-bluff: Arians thinks that the defense won't think he's stupid enough to do the same thing twice in the same situation but... he is - and they're always ready.
No attempts at deception, disguise or variation AT ALL.

Well I was looking to see how Tomlin handles adversity - turns out not so good. I have to put this piece of shit performance on Tomlin, Arians and Bad Ben. I about lost my mind when seeing on two consecutive drives we go into the shotgun on 3rd down after two healthy runs. WTF - have the Steelers forgotten what playing in cold windy weather is all about? Worse game I've seen in 40 years of watching this team.
Fire Arians!!!
Get Ben's head out of his ass!!!
Tomlin - back up the talk!!!

Last night and the last month have been far worse than Cowher's last season, when he mailed it in but the players summoned some pride to finish 8-8. Since the Steelers have no interest in this season, let's start talking about next season. Which assistant coaches will depart? Tomlin has a Super Bowl ring, that buys him a pass for at least another year. Will Lebeau ride off into the sunset? Will Arians get the ax? Historically the Rooneys don't like to panic or appear to panic. Historically, however, the Steelers have shown up for regular season games, especially when a playoff spot is on the line.
On the offense, save Ben R for next season. Dixon is now number two, let the kid get some experience. Here are some difficult questions to answer: Why did Wallace disappear in the second half of the season? Should Limas Sweed be cut now? Why hasn't Spaeth been sent to the bench as a permanent back-up? Per Mill, what happened to M Moore? On the defense, what is the most important priority - rebuilding the aging defensive line or patching up the secondary? How much money would be saved by cutting Farrior and playing K Fox? Is Harrison's problem lack of motivation or something else? Has Woodley shown that he is capable of returning to form?
After beating the Rams in SB XIV, The 1980 Steelers started 4-1 (with a win against the Oilers, who went on to win the division) then gradually unraveled to finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs. Perhaps this season's collapse will eventually inspire the team and the coaching staff to wake up and refocus. Let's see how Tomlin carries the ball in a crisis.

Keisel, Carter, Timmons - A - Despite the rest of the defense playing like dogshit; They played a good solid game, maintained their discipline on maintaining their assignments and reacting appropriately.
Indicative of how shitty the Steelers' collective effort, these three--who probably did play the hardest on defense--all got their asses kicked on Cribbs 37yd run. Keisel got blocked and pinned badly, Timmons stepped up stupidly and got buried in the line, and Carter whiffed badly, too unfocused to break down and square up on Cribbs. A play exemplifying the Steelers lack of intensity and focus that night.
Someone else said this may be the worst loss he's ever seen. Considering being defending champs, on a four game losing streak, and desperately needing to win to remain in the playoff race, I agree it was the worst loss I have seen in my 41 years. Pathetic performance - F's across the board.

I think the Hard Hat Award for the Stillers-Frowns game oughta go to James Harrison's mom - - - she is cut from Stillers cloth !!!!!

It's obvious to the world. I heard John Clayton on his radio show seriously question the offensive play calling of the Steelers. We'll see how Tomlin responds to a million Steeler fans climbing all over his ass. Especially a difficult week for Steeler fans here in the Pacific Northwest with the weak minded seahawk fans who are still (believe it) pissing and moaning about the Super Bowl.

The Steelers biggest problem this year is the same as it was last year. The only difference is last year they were able to overcome it unlike now. Ben was the 2nd most sacked QB last year; the offensive line was atrocious. Granted his impersonation of the Statue of Liberty doesn't help and he DOES need to get more mobile, pronto. Still, logic dictates you draft to alleviate your biggest problem. Do the Steelers do that? No. 46 sacks and they are like ostriches with their heads in the sand saying 'it's not a problem we need to address'. If Ben had more than 2 nanoseconds to decide what he is going to do (and yes, was able to move when needed instead of stand rooted to the ground like a deer with headlights in his eyes) maybe our situation would be somewhat better. Initiate Operation Eggs All in One Basket! Maybe if they use every single draft pick and free agency acquisition on the very Offensive Line, we might get one or two who could block?

While the Cribbs run did make EVERYONE silly, I still do not take away from the overall performance from those three. They happen to overpress their positions that play because of trying to make up for everyone else's lack of effort. I really did not remember see any other glaring errors or bad plays.
With that being said, that is why I gave them A's and not A+'s.
As for the worst game, I will take it a step further, the worst loss during the worst 5-game stretch in Stillers' history.
What is the most mind-boggling thing is that we defeated Charges (2-1, now 10-3), Vikings (6-0, now 11-2) and the Broncos (6-1, now 8-5) and we lose to 3 teams with a combined 6 wins between them at the time of the match ups. That alone is something I can not wrap my head around.

I hear you about the Seattle fans pissing and moaning still. I know lots of people from Seattle that just can’t let it go.
Unfortunately, I live in Arizona and Cardinals fans are still bitching (obviously). They are pretty much pathetic fans though. I think there were more Steelers fans than Cardinals fans at Univ of Phoenix Stadium when they played in 08. The tailgating party was almost entirely black n’ gold too. It was like a taste of the ‘burgh in Phoenix, good stuff.
And if you think bitter Seahawks and Cardinals fans are bad, I know some Vikings fans who are still pissy about Super Bowl IX. Seriously, I’m not kidding. Super Bowl IX - the one that happened almost 25 years ago. I just have to laugh.
And If we didn't suck so badly this year, I might be able to laugh a little more. My only hope is that the recent collapse will mean the end of Bruce "Bunghole" Arians. I don't know where I saw that on this site, but it seems to be the perfect nickname for him.
