I'm glad I only listened to this on the radio via the internet. It sounded exactly like what Still described.
Next Sunday is a great test....lets see if the boy's are up to it. The ratbirds fought back and just fell short.

Good analysis, as usual, except you failed to mention that Limas peed the bed when he was a toddler, and he still does.

priceless...no recap next week? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
I don't get to watch many games working and way out west but I always come to stillers.com to see how did--the final score doesn't tell the whole story, but mill usually does

Re: New Article: Stillers-Browns Postgame Analysis and Grades
Not much else to say after this game. All stat totals should be marked down by at least one-third when the opposing team is the Browns. A few random thoughts: It's true the Steelers are 4-2 and now hold the wild card spot (yes it's early but the whole point of these message boards is to treat every game like the entire season). But their four wins have come against teams with a total of four wins. Next week's game is important, even critical for a number of obvious reasons: to see if the defense can stop a varsity quarterback; to maintain momentum going into the bye week; and to begin what should be steady march to the division title. Neither Cinci nor Baltimore is for real. Perhaps Lawrence Timmons will be this year's Lamarr Woodley? Speaking of LW, what about trying him at defensive end? Apparently he's big enough. And I too would like to see more Ziggy Hood.

Turned my cousins onto readering Stillers.com, and the Limas Peed line is their favorite thing.

We could have the second coming of LT, good game Timmons. Were up my 13 with about 2-3 mins to go and were passing vs a pathetic offense, take the win for christsakes and run the fukin ball, eat clock! Yes, the passes worked, the risk/reward here is just terrible. I dont care if they have 10 in the box there giving u the pass for a reason, shithead. If they had a offense ok i can see it. I still have a problem with QB undercenter, no back formations. It has to be a quik pass but our QB if doesnt see it right away will hold onto the ball, Ok, so far most of these plays have worked ok, again the risk/reward is bad.
Bungles are the Bungles and the Mavens have lost 3 in a row? Ratbirds D aint what it use to be but there QB is startin to jell. The Vikes are gonna be a big test. Time to focus and but all these naggin mistakes behind us.
The fan poll might have been just slightly biased .

Woodley is no 3-4 DL Touro. He seemed to get a few pressures yesterday. Was he more active? I could not see the game. Next week will tell a lot. Giddeeup.

woodley had a decent game. timmons was on fire though. if woodley can return to last year's form, it's scary to think how good this defense could be.
coaches must have been ripping into woodley. although he didnt have a breakout game, i saw him hustle for the first time this year

"OC: Arians had his way with the woeful, weak-assed Clev defense. He showed his true idiocy late in the 4Q. The Stillers were ahead, 27-14, with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game. On 3d & 5, Ben his Holmes for a clutch 21-yard gainer. It’s 1st down, at the PIT 46, with 2 minutes & change remaining. It’s a 2-TD game. At this point, all’s the Stillers have to do is plunge the ball a few times, and if a 1st down isn’t made, a punt can pin the Browns back, say, around their own 20. The last thing you want to do here is give up a cheap TD on a QB-strip in the pocket, or a deflected pass that is picked or a “regular†INT return. What does Arians call? A passing play !! We’re up by 13, 1st down, with 2:10 left in the game, and Arians is still trying to PASS the goddamned ball like a complete jackass !! This is exactly what got Arians fired from Clev in the first place, and he still hasn’t learned his lesson. B- "
Ok, I have to totally disagree with this point. While I think BA has been gawd awfull this year, I loverd this call in the 4th. Why? because we've pissed away too many leads this season in the 4th. Ben has been on fire lately. So, insted of giving the D a chance to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, we kept the game in the hands of our best playmaker, #7.

I CANNOT believe I am saying this, but I agree with Tony. Keep the ball in Ben's hands. He is still capable of the moronic, assoholic toss to a wide open DB with a taxi coming in to take him to the house but now the D is suspect.
I cannot believe some of the wide-open stuff I am seeing (when I get the games down here in SC). Followed Cleveland game on I-net as Justin TV had no streaming of the game.
Noticed a few stupid calls to FWP. Fumbling drove me nuts as did Cribbs. Will we EVER have ST we can at least mention as a contributor, except for Seppy? Now Reed is a menace.
Caught Pats game on TV. Think anyone in the league is talking about THAT run-up? Totally uncalled for. I understand it is Titans job to stop them but please, in those conditions, we all know there will be no comeback, even at 28-0. Come out in 2nd half and pass? Run it and punt if you have to but run out the clock. Those guys (Titans) wanted off the field as well.) I hope Pats schedule takes them to places where they don't put up with that kind of crap. Bellichick will get his, I hope.

dude i loved every second of that blowout, and glad the titans didn't score any points. they deserve the worst for what they did to the towel. 59-0 loss and lendale white with a knee injury, has justice been served? nah, I hope they go 0-7
we can talk about professionalism and running up the score, but its unprofessional to allow 59 points, even if it is against tom brady. titans can burn in hell for all i care.
UNRELATED NOTE
Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin said today that kicker Jeff Reed will play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings even though he was cited by police last Sunday night on several charges after a confrontation outside a North Side bar.
Reed was cited for simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkeness after he confronted police outside a North Side bar as they were issuing a citation for disorderly conduct to tight end Matt Spaeth for urinating in a parking lot.

Just one more BLARING reason to get rid of Spaeth. <take a knee on a kickoff?, are you effin kidding me! run with the ball you fn sissy!>

Re: New Article: Stillers-Browns Postgame Analysis and Grades
Holmes admitted he had marijuana and sat out last year against the Giants; Reed has made a jackass out of himself again and gets to suit up against the Vikings. The difference, I guess, is that Reed is contesting this arrest. I think Reed's second violation warrants being benched for at least one game, probably more, if he either admits guilt or is found guilty. The more difficult question is whether to release him after this year and find another kicker.
Cut Spaeth now and free up message board space for someone else.

Well then who's going to kick... especially in a game that could be decided by a field goal?

F**K that you freak. The difference is other people can catch the ball but we don;t have another kicker. reed seems like a moron, but why should he be benched? I love that his agent defended him by pointing out he was with his parents. That just scared me more... either the elder Reeds are also party animals or Spaeth is really a d**k... Go to deadpsin to see some truly great photos of Jeff.

Old School, Tomlin was right to bench Holmes because he made it clear that a player's conduct off the field matters. (Note also that after he was benched Holmes turned it up a notch and was phenomenal in the post-season.) At some point Reed has to be subject to the same sort of discipline - to show that the same standards apply regardless of what position you play. Steelers can audition and sign a kicker sometime before the season ends (they can make room by cutting Spaeth now) and that would send a strong message to Reed that he needs to stop making news after he's had a few cold ones.

It is pretty disturbing that a guy is with his parents and your loser buddy would whip it out and piss in front of them. Real class that matches his play on the field. Cut Spaeth now

Hey, don't get me wrong, I am all for the blow-out of the Titans. 28-0, 35-0 no problem and 0-16 is just fine. I am more interested now in players taking notice of Brady yukking it up on sideline and basicly ridiculing those guys, sorry as they are. Considering the conditions, the haplessness of the Titans, and all of the other things considered, I hope players took notice and Bellichick gets his. Not a love for the Pats around the league anyway as Brady treated like a piece of glass. Did you see the picture on Drudge of Tom Terrific yukking it up with teammate? I hope that is on every locker room bulletin board in the league. Can't throw TD's when he's runnin' for his life.
When we had the Ravens on the ropes a few years back in the first half in the rain, we called off the dogs in the 2nd half.
