I think Tomlin is intellegent and the right coach for this team. That said as a second year head coach he has a lot to learn. The first might be when to replace an offensive coordinator. Tomlin will turn into a fine head coach. Name a head coach that didn't take a couple of years to get a handle on everything. And yes I've fired him after about 5 different games over the past 2 years. It's called passion, but patience will win in the long run.
