We historicaly look flat after a bye, so kudos to Tomlin for having these guys ready to play. I'm still amazed at how our D makes bad QB's look so good, first it was Jacco and now Fitz.? Eli Manning had looked like crap the last couple of weeks, bet he looks like a Super Bowl MVP next week, if Dick has anything to do with it! Oh wait, he is a SB MVP. Should be a good one.

The best part is that 4 out of our first 6 games were on the road, and we are 5-1.

Now, we have 6 homes games and only 4 away games remaining.

Although the schedule is difficult, it's looking better to me. Tomlin seems to be adjusting.

Whether it be Arians or Ben (probably), kudos to whoever decided to exploit an actual weakness on the Cincy D, the right cornerback. The very next offensive play after Ben's TD bomb to Nate, the Steelers threw another Bomb down the right side to Hines, which was a pass interference play and led to another touchdown that put the game out of reach. it's not often we see the steelers go for the jugular like that.

Sweed still made his catch look iffy by dropping the ball after he hit the ground. I hope that's not a sign of things to come. Is this the least productive draft class in the past 30 years?

McLovin kind of agrees that with all the great pass pro Ben had he should of been able to do a little more with it. A 10-7 lead at the half not all that impressive given the fact that the running game was productive and receivers seemed to be open. Ben a little scattershot yesterday. McLovin's complaint lies with Heath Miller's lack of involvement in the passing game. McLovin is no Bill Walsh but it seems that Miller is an underused weapon. That and the McFadden and Troy injuries only negatives to come out of this game. Giants not exactly lighting it up in the passing game but with big Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward, and Ahmad Bradshaw able to run so well they haven't needed to. Steelers need healthy Troy and improved DLine play to stop Jacobs and co. McLovin want to see Troy get fined for a brutal hit on Plax.

Annalyst Rich Gannon CONFIRMS what I told you hard heads WEEKS ago, that Arians gives Ben two plays and Ben decides which one to go with by reading the defense. So all of that credit you haters were giving to Ben for "calling such good plays" you can now give the credit to its rightful owner-ARIANS.

Jesus Christ on Rollerskates, Mill, when will you EVER cut LeBeau a break???

They've given up 89 points in six games (not all by the defense, either), and that's second best in the league -- and you're still giving him a B-minus???

He runs complicated, daring, and dangerous defenses. They blitz from everywhere. A breakdown can REALLY cost you. And he's managed to gradually work Woodley and now Timmons into that defense without having any major breakdowns and without fucking up their confidence. So don't bitch about not seeing enough of Timmons. He's becoming comfortable, he's no longer lost out there, and he's becoming everthing anyone had hoped for.

Look at the bottom line. This D is giving up barely a touchdown a game. It's not all weak opposition. They're playing against the schedule they have, and doing a helluva job. Let's just hope they can keep it together next week, after the injuries in the secondary this past week.

You make good points but truth be told the Steelers havent really been tested. Exclude the Eagles/Jags. Other than that who have we played with a good record. I agree Dick needs to stay with whats working, if we have to blitz every play, then so be it. He let Flacco get comfortable and we almost lost. He blitzes Flacco and hes LOST out there. Same with every qb weve played. Pressure busts pipes and I say keep the pressure on till the wheels fall off. We got Eli coming up and if we give that guy time he will pick us apart. Blitz him and make him make quick decision JUST like Jim Johnson (Eagles) did Ben. Did he let up? NO and what were those results? Its a recipe for success.

I agree with ya there, Still Mill. That possession was ugly, wasn't it? I think a grade of a B- was fair, but I probably would have went with a B+ or an A- since I tend to cut LeBeau more of a break than you because he's been in the NFL for about 120 years.

Nonsense. If you have a DVR watch that drive again and tell me what you see. How many blitzes? There is a reason that was the only touchdown of the game - the Bengals were blessed with extremely good fortune on that drive - watch it again and tell me what defense you would have had the Steelers in on each play.

I hated that 1st half ending drive as much as Mill. But in hindsight, this is the NFL. Teams WILL score against our D, even bad teams. It happens. Even the worse team would beat the very best college team. Every team has good players. Even Detroit.
