Steelers release CB Justin Gilbert
The Steelers released CB Justin Gilbert on Monday. Gilbert, a former 1st round selection of the Browns back in 2014, was acquired last Sept. for a 8th round draft choice in 2018. Gilbert saw rare playing time on defense, and returned 3 kickoffs for 69 yards towards the end of the season.
Well, that was another trade that yielded no results.(See Brandon Boykin a year earlier.) Only positive thing I could say is that it didn't cost the team much.

You'll probably recognize the name next year, SoCal, when the Pats pick him up for a song in the off-season and he goes on to lead the league in interceptions and punt return yardage...

Bring Cower back! Well not really but with this kind of trade and then not use the guys they trade for crap why even trade a draft pick at all? Maybe that sixth rounder they gave up could have been the next hall,of farmer for the Steelers. Wasn't Brady a sixth round pick?
