Sadly the write-up is spot on. At this point in time I have nothing to add. Really disappointing the F.O. and ownership of the Steelers have decided to turn a blind eye to this traveling band of misfits and retards of a coaching staff.

Impossible to fault Ben for what was clearly a debilitating injury to his hand. The Steelers would have stuffed the Saints if we had any offense. Fault could however be attributed to coach Haley and Tomlin. They should have gone to Grad when it was clear from the high throws that Ben would not have any effectiveness and actually was a liability.
Can't offer any excuses for D. Simply pathetic. Ike should have played slot except McCain went down. This scheme of Mr. LeBeau has got to go. Further, while Halo has drafted significant stars for the O, LeBeau has been given a lot of 1's and 2's to reassemble some talent. It is clear that he has NO EYE FOR TALENT. LeBeau, Mitchell, and Butler need to join Mr. Ariens down in sunny Phoenix or just simply retire. Tomlin needs to find his nads and force retirement if the 3 mousekateers don't offer their resignation to him. Cold Hard FF had excellent expose on Ds role in championship teams success.
SOMETIMES the D has to win the game for the team if there is a championship caliber to be had.

The saddest part of the game, besides the play of the team, is the loss of Keisel. Even in games where he was kept off the stat line, he was in there fighting, around every play, showing HEART. Batting passes, qb hurries, he did what he was supposed to do in a 3-4 defense, the dirty work, so that the linebackers swoop in and make the sacks and tackles. Well, they're supposed to. If it really does end his career, it's a very, very, sad ending, having this legacy to go back to. At least he has 2 rings when he played as part of a team, not this mess.
Too many people practicing their dance moves if they score, too few preparing to actually play the games. Ike played like he did before the injury, burned all over the field, and the occasional cheap shot that gets penalized.
If we get to 9-7 this staff will say we're improving. Right.
Get ready to put the jerseys back in the closet for another year, and dust off the Pens' sweaters.

The coaching in the last game could not have been worse. Mill thinks the Steelers should have been passing at the end of the first half to get a closer field goal. I disagree. We had 3 timeouts and a quarterback with a bad throwing hand and poor accuracy. Bell was running great, and they were not playing the run. A draw or quick toss to Bell on second or third down would have almost certainly picked up another 10-20 yards. It comes down to terrible clock management and suspect playcalling.
That said, there were a lot of guys open that Ben just missed. He is our star, and the franchise is dependent on him for an identity. When he is on, he is one of the top 5 in the league. He made the right reads most of the time. He just was a bit off.
The defense is inexcusable. There is not one quality defensive back on this team, and we have not added one in years. I love Pola for all he's done, but he's done. We just keep adding pansy linebackers who never seem to play. We have no shut down quarters, and no ball hawks or big hitters at safety. This is suicide in a passing league. This is a testament to how well the offense has played at times to scratch out seven wins with a secondary that is this bad.

If The Steelers miss out on the playoffs for a 3rd consecutive year, Tomlin's success rate at even making the post-season would be a sparse 50%.
Tell me what other elite/top NFL teams, I.E.-New England, Green Bay, Denver, etc., would put up with 3 consecutive seasons of this fucking nonsense?!?
Face it; This franchise has become The Dallas Cowboys; A once proud organization that lives off past accomplishments.
At least Dallas has a better shot at the post-season this year...
