Today at 12pm. Hines Ward anounces his retirement in a very emotional press conference. He tried to smile through it at first, but once he started to read his statement he becomes very emotional. He offically retires as a Pittsburgh Steeler! He never wants to wear another team's uniform. He is a Steeler for life! He thanks the ownership, the coaches, the players and the fans of the Steeler Nation. As he closes this chapter of his life, he gives thanks from the bottom of his heart.

I'm sad for him that he has chosen to give up doing what he loves to do, but I am happy that he decided not to go to another team, and that he will only ever be a Steeler.

He is a true class act.
