I'm almost relieved

Postby Pommah » Sun Jan 08, 2012 10:13 pm

I didn't think their year would end this way, but in a way, I'm almost relieved.

Big Ben was just too gimpy to win four playoff games. Mendenhall was out - maybe he could have scored TD's on some of those holes Redman had? The o-line never really got much beyond being patchwork all season, and Pouncey was out today and maybe for the rest of the playoffs. We draw the one place on the road where Clark can't play - and maybe he's not the best cover guy, but he was the team's leading tackler, and we could have used downfield tackling today. Then we saw both Hampton and Keisel bow out. Could this team really string together four wins against good teams, none at home?

All in all, it was a good team, but I never felt like it was a great one. We hardly ever dominated, even when healthy. We couldn't put the Ravens away, even once. We did beat the Pats though, that was a highlight.

Rather than being bitter, I feel like this year, it just wasn't meant to be. We have it better than the fans of almost every other pro football club, and for that I'm pretty thankful.

Not me. If it had to be, I'd much rather get the shit kicked out of us by 1.)NE in The Div. Round, then lose to a glorified high school QB and his shit rec. corps

On the flip side, if it wasn't evident the past couple of years, it was plainfully obvious tonight. LeBeau is a fraud D.C. who needs to be shown the door a.s.a.p. Losing to Teblow, let alone having that fucking hack throw for 301 yards against you should be grounds for automatic termination.

I agree with both of you. As for the defense, to let fucking tebow throw for like 220+ yards and score 17 points IN ONE QUARTER just means you're not that good, whatever the season stats may have said. I am also glad you said it, Pommah, cuz I might not have, but I agree. I figured we'd win this one ugly, but I figured we'd win. Once we lost more guys to injury and looked that bad on D, it was only gonna give the Patsies the chance to mop the fucking field with us next week if we pulled this out. No thanks. We are blessed to be loyal fans of a team thats in the running almost every year. This just wasn't our year. As long as someone other than the Fudgepackers or the Ratbirds wins it, I couldnt care less at this point. My weekend just got a day longer.

Kind of how I feel....... We had only half a team, and were almost given the game.

No way we would have won in Foxboro.......... Our "D" would have been shredded like meat at a delicatessen..........

This game also revealed what many of us suspected. Our corners are amongst the worst in football and we have an offensive coordinator who repeatedly calls the same plays over and over again (that bubble screen that should have been ruled a fumbled backward pass), the defense knows what we're doing late in games.

We need to load up on cornerbacks and OL. If we draft another receiver, I'll pull my hair out.

And we now have a real excuse to dump Bruce Arians.......... He's mainly responsible for why Ben got hurt in the first place.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.
