Don't Blame Dick, Blame Gay and the STEELER organization.

Postby SojuMaster » Sat Nov 12, 2011 3:54 am

I am tired of Mill always lambasting Dick LeBeau for every defensive collapse. I am sorry, but blame the whole Steeler Organization in keeping Gay. MT easily could bench Gay, Kevin Colbert could have traded him. Dan Rooney could even step in and fire the piece of shit. Gay is the ONLY reason we lost that game against the ravens. What is worse, the offical stat sheet does not even show how bad it is. According to the offical game book, Gay was targeted 4 times. WRONG!! On top of the 4 targets:

1:30, 2-10-BLT 42 Gay was woefully out played against Boldin, Taylor and Polamalu get the target because they both had made a desperate attempt to cover for Gay.
1:09, 3-1-PIT 49 Larry Foote gets the "target" ONLY because he leaped up in the air and batted down the ball, which Gay was covering Williams, and YES, Williams would have caught the ball because Gay was again, out of position.

Of the other times that Gay was not targeted, you can see joe flacco look Gay's direction several times as his first look. The whole fuckin league knows that as long as Gay on the field, he is the #1 target.

If a simple fan like myself can see this, then a PROFESSIONAL FUCKIN COORDINATOR can see this!!! FUCKIN GET RID OF WILLIAM GAY, WE WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!! SIMPLE!!! FUCKIN GET RID OF HIM!!! FUCK HIM! FUCK HIM! FUCK HIM! GOD DAMN IT!!! FUCK HIM!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK....... I FUCKIN HATE WILLIAM GAY!!!! FUCK HIM!!!

Gay was targeted 14, not 4 times. 7 of those targets were completions. Must have been a typo on your info. Ike was also targeted 9 times with 5 completions allowed not including that PI that gave the Ravens the ball at the 1.

Gay and the Steeler organization didn't make the decision to play bump and run on that last game-winning series by the Ratbirds. That was Dick and he deserves some blame for that. That's not to say that Gay would be any more effective in the zone (he probably would be even worse), but Dick's calls on that last drive - esp. the last play - definitely deserve criticism.

Also, Gay, unlike D. Johnson and the miscommunication 'twixt BR7 and Memo did not drop easy completions that would have forced the Ravens to use their last time out and prolly only have 40 seconds or so with the ball back. TEAM loss.

Thank you for the correction, out of my drunken fit of anger last night after re-watching the game ... I meant on the final drive by the rat-birds ... I know that Gay was targeted throughout the game, and I wonder how many more times he was targeted where he was not offically listed.

I blame Colbert & the front office.
Everyone knew the secondary &the o-line were major weaknesses.
Not enough was done to fix it.

Well, you may or may not have a point, but I'm sure glad they didn't get rid of him before the Bengals game.
