HOW STUPID ARE WE?
This loss was just stupidity -- pure and simple. We have the ball moving downfield with third down. Ben all second half has had basically all day in the pocket but we call a quick, no thinking pass in the flat to Mewelde Moore who might be the 5th best option we have. We blow the timing so the Ravens do not stop us (they had shown no ability to do so all second half). Instead, we stop ourselves. Then we get the delay of game penalty (this is just ludicrous).
On the last drive, all game we either got pressure or could not stop the Ravens. But we did not get pressure on the last drive. Instead we allowed them to gently move down the field. Then we look surprised that they went for the EZ with 16 seconds left. This is the same type of thing we did a year or two ago when Houshmenzadeh beat us at the end.
It is inexcusable. We cannot play that cushy BS stuff -- we either need to pressure hard or make a play in coverage. How many 5 yard slants can they run before a corner breaks up at least one? 200? If we cannot stop one five yard slant, they do not need to run any other play ever.
If we cannot fix that, the team may as well quit.

Exactly. These stooges on Radio (cooler talk) are yanking their dicks over the FG. Yes, that was fucked, but we know Tomlin is a dunce and when it comes to clock he's an idiot. But the loosers gave the game away on that fianl aboirtion of an offensive possession. We played not to lose, instaed of to win. It was FUCKED and and I am outraged AGAIN! A fucking flare to MEMO. WHAT IN FUCK WAS THAT?!!! Damnit!
FUCK them.
Re: HOW STUPID ARE WE?
You are right, we played not to lose. Once more Big Ben looked like a confused, intimidated rookie instead of taking charge and putting the game away. Flacco was the one who looked posed and confident. Which Ben will show up next week? To lose that game last night was a sin!
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!
Re: HOW STUPID ARE WE?
Abysmal and AWFUL time management. I ranted about it in another thread...

Did he NOT learn his lesson from the last game with the Pats? What is the LAST PLAY CALL you want to use when trying to burn clock and put the game further out of reach? A PASS PLAY, PERIOD. My beer can almost went through the TV last week when i saw him run two pass plays at the end that not only put us out of game-icing field goal range, but also giving the ball back. Did Brucey learn his lesson??? OF COURSE NOT! What I saw was this...
- Stillers needed to execute three run plays, and then punt. This would have effectively given the birds the ball back at the 2 minute warning, with ZERO timeouts.
- INSTEAD you give them the ball (because of your dumbshit pass play calls) with 2:35 left, a TO, AND the two minute warning. Even Flacco could pull this off.
I will feel better when I see a whole new coaching staff.
