New Most Assaholic Play Call by Arians

Postby Pommah » Sun Dec 19, 2010 9:58 pm

It used to be the Ben Bootleg Bamboozle for -1 yard in the playoffs when all they needed was a couple yards for a first down.

Now, it's the pseudo-trap play from the 1 yard line for a safety vs. the Jets. No safety there, the Stillers can at least tie the game with a field goal and send the game into overtime. But no.

No fullback. Not your first-string back who is on a 6-yard per carry average, one-hundred yard rushing game, but your lightweight 3rd-down back. Not "over the big boy" straight ahead for a 2-yard plunge to give some breathing room. No no, we can't do anything here that would actually make sense. We have to concoct something they're not expecting. Something that if it should somehow fail, costs us 2 points plus turning over the ball to good field position (it doesnt help that your punter can only muster up a 41-yard pooch on a free kick).

At least if Arians gets fired, something good will come out of this coulda-woulda-shoulda season.

We can only hope Arians is gone!

I STILL think he should have been at least the FINAL CUT (if not the first one) in training camp.
MT has some serious 'splainin' " to do with that assaholic call.

"Lemme see here, boys. We gots this here RB runnin' pretty good today a'n we got this here other 'un, a Mr. Redman I reckon', who can't seem to miss convertin' them 3rd downs and finds more yards than we need for them converts. .... Naw, we'll do some trickery with Mendy!

I wish it was Mendy - he would have probably leaned out of the endzone, and we know Redman would have. But no, lets go with the ligthest easiest to bring down back we have. We are also the only team that uses the shotgun to RB draw where the RB always has to go across the QB and the line from left to right. Indi and NE run is straight forward most of the time and pull this play off exceptionally.

Sorry 'bout that. In too much of a hurry again! I meant "...trickery with MeMo".

I wish it was Mendy too. Or REDMAN! This man is turning himself into a prize for 3rd down converts.

I think a critical turning point of the game was idiot Flozell's moronic slapping of some little pissant antagonist just after we had nice convert into Jet turf. We couldn't move after that and had to punt, which of course went into the EZ, I believe. Discipline seems to suck on the OL.

Arians needs to be fired after that insipid cross-buck, or whatever the hell you want to call it, in the EZ. He learns NOTHING from 1 game to the next.

WHY did Ward disappear? The man is clutch at game time, instead, OC put the game into the hands of a stiff TE that has never been in a tight spot before, except in an alley on a cold night with a kicker. Man, I am hacked we lost this game. In defense (I cannot believe I am typing this..) of Ass Arians, our 3rd down converts were off the charts. We should have never lost this game, now must wins in final 2 to keep 1st rd bye alive.

Still, we get to Pats, sorry, but I don't see us handling them this year either.
