Did anyone realize that the defense we played the other night seemed similar to the defense we played last year when we lost 5 straight? We overcompensated to avoid the big play and left one receiver after another wide open five to ten yards down field. It was also similar to when Rioch Gannon and the Raiders embarrassed us years ago in the year when no one ran the ball and everyone just did short passes every game and we could not stop anyone.

This trend is very dangerous. Against the Pats, you need to pressure their receivers and get pass rush pressure. We did neither.

What we did was the equivalent of playing the Boston Celtics and letting Ray Allen sit wide open and shoot. Your know, he will make those. So will Brady.

Not looking good for us.

Steelwest, I just posted similar comments (hadn't seen yours) with a different twist that takes your observation 1-step further - THEY USED A PGH GUY TO RUB OUR NOSES IN OUR OWN DIRT - GRONKOWSKI !

If you will not make any game plan adjustments you get beat everytime. Steelers coaches never make any adjustments because we have the attitude we will beat you the Steeler way of playing ball by ramming what we want to do down your throat instead of taking what the defense is giving. The Browns ran all over the Pats the game before but we somehow thing we can get it down by passing and running Moore rather than Mendy. Just brilliant
