Timmons is the monster that I knew we drafted a couple of years ago. He is becoming a man!
He is becoming the heart and sole of this D...
Speed is the priority in playing D in the NFL - staying younger, making multiple changes and utilizing your bench....Depth! I do not see a lot of depth with the D, too many mistakes on draft day is coming back to haunt us.
At the same time you need an offense that can move the ball and chew up the clock. This is not happening with Arians calling the plays. Arians spends the whole week planning the 1st drive then goes back into his role of being dumb...
"Hey Tomlin, can I have another week before we get the ball back for the 2nd series in the game"?
I'm concerned.

Personally, I'm glad to see Timmons developing into the hammer that some people thougth he could be.
I for one will admit that I had my doubts, grave doubts. After the Zo Jackson experiment then the Bruce Davis debacle, you can call me "jaded" to the process of attempting to make a traditional 4-3 DE an OLB in a 34 defense.
Timmons seems like a genuinely nice kid that loves playing the game. He holds himself as a student of the game too based on the interviews I've seen; always wanting to improve. This is Tomlin's 1st pick as a HC so I'm sure Tomlin has a vested interest in wanting him to succeed as well.
I see this year as his coming out party. He has a chance to really make a name for himself from this point forward.
Well deserved!

Timmons was included in Peter King's midway all-pro list. Please everyone save the "I hate Peter King comments"; it was just great to see Timmons get recognized nationally. Pouncey made his offensive rookie of the year halfway through.
