Diabolic Plan by Steelers Wizard revealed
In a clever ploy aimed at reigniting the lovefest once enjoyed between Steelers Fans and Big Ben Roeth. The Steelers BOD concoct a game plan in which they play such a piss poor offense that they create a yearning for the return of ben. The wiley minds at work behind the scenes came to the conclusion that if they employed the most wretched possible performance against the Rats possible, they would have the Fanbase begging for the return of Ben.
It is reported that when the Steelers actually had the lead - which was not planned for - they hastily sent instructions to Kemo and Spaeth to commit boneheaded penalties to destroy any chance of a game ending first down. It was overheard that to be sure - have keyaron Fox hold on the punt to make sure even Flacco the Flunko could reach the end zone

dick lebeau even contributed by blitzing his best coverage player in the secondary (troy) on the play that ended in a ravens TD. I wonder what still mill will say about this, lol

That would have been a good strategy if we had either Ben or another minute left on the clock...........
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

It seems like it wasn't a bad call. None of us sees true film so I'm curious how often in these situations he would blitz troy late in the game.

He would say the same thing he says about Lebeau without thinking about what is really going on as is the same for a lot of people. Everyone is crying "soft" 4th quarter prevent defense" when actually Lebeau was sending blitzes. Now yinz will start bitching about blitzing? What way do you want it - blitz or don't blitz in the 4th quarter. Let me guess, you would rather sit back and see what transpires and say the opposite if you don't like the result.

im all for blitzing and being aggressive, but come on. you have timmons, woodley, and harrison, and instead you blitz troy who is your best cover man in the secondary?

I think you do have a point there - I need to check the play because I bet 2 or 3 of those players were headed at the QB on the play as well. But a polamalu blitz isn't a bad call overall - Flacco might think there is no way #43 is coming in. Who knows, maybe Polamalu ad-libbed it.
On another note, I loved the goal line defense we had on the previous ravens series that caused them to call the time-out. All 11 players where on the line of scrimmage - I saw that and was hoping they would snap it. You didn't know who was coming or who was dropping.
Re: Diabolic Plan by Steelers Wizard revealed
Fire Arians is right. Sending Troy was a mistake. Dont you remember the playoff game & Troy INTs Flunko and returns it for a TD?
