After 2 weeks of defensive players dominating the Hard Hat nominations list, this week, the Offense should get some nods:

Charlie Batch - 3TDs, moved the offense seemingly at will. For a guy who's been the red-headed step-child for the last 2 months, he proved he still has some skills. Total class act.

The Entire O-Line - 0 Penalties, 0 Sacks, 201 yards rushing. They completely dominated the Tampa front 7.

Mendy - 19 carries for 143 for a 7.5 average. Nothing more impressive than watching him run over the Tampa safety for the TD.

I also thought it was strange the way the tv broadcasters defended Hines decision to stay in bounds. But then again it was Steve Tasker and some other guy whose eyeglasses were too big for his face.

I readily admit to having "Still Mill" moments watching the game, as in "Wonder if Still Mill caught that?"

He caught both -- the awesome wrong shoulder technique by Harrison to shed a block and the make the tackle after a 2-yard gain, and the awful TImmons flop chasing Freeman.

Good job yo.

You want to see the best play Silverback made all day? Watch
the Keisel interception again (YouTube has the highlight reel from
the game up) and watch 92 on the play. Simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
I have no idea how he even knew the pass was picked and then
to have the skills to pull of an acrobatic slamming of the intended
receiver followed by a quick roll followed by a bad ass block ....
this guy is a beast. The last time I remember the Steelers dominating
this bad on all sides was the 2004 reg season game vs the Pats.
The whole team deserves the Hard Hat (with the exception of
the management tent fiasco).

I was wondering about the tent/shade thing myself. I think the NFL probably has some assnine sideline rule against it. I haven't seen other teams with the pop up tents for shades on their sidelines.

Another great summary. Hey Mill, where is the hard hat winner?

Yeah,...where are the Hard Hats?

I am guessing it will be the TOTAL OL and Mill has to finish his plate of crow?
I have to say, I was having a plate of it on Monday. I keep saying our OL is in much needed repair, but they stepped up big-time and good for them. Batch pretty much untouched and Mendy able to move into second level on a regular basis. That is how it used to be!

Gosh, this is the effort necessary for Sunday. That, PLUS a game plan keeping the Rat-turds on their heels for LOONNNNGGG periods of time. Still say, our best D is a long, time-consuming drive. Keeps the D fresh, hungry to get out there. Don't get me wrong, love the 40-yd TDs but those are not there all day. We MUST play keep-away and kill the clock like Steelers of old. Remember those 10+ minute drives with the Bus? Things of beauty and a source of frustration for the opposition.

Those tents would obscure the fans' view if the players on the sideline. If there is a rule against tents and shades, and that was, in fact, the true motivation for it, I'd have to say I agree with it. I like being able to see what the players are doing on the sidelines while I'm at games.

Seems like the biggest difference in our O-Line was the absence of Trai Essex. Legursky may have won the RG position full time from what I have read.

Nice work, Still. One of my favorite moments from last week was on Diesel's pick six, the way he had a threesome of black jerseys out in front with their heads on a swivel looking to pave the way to paydirt. Granted, it turned out that only TB's "franchise QB" (hiccup) was there at the end "trying" to make a tackle, but it was still somewhat reminiscent of Dee-Bo's pick six against the Cards a couple years back. Oh, yeah, beat the Mavens.
