The Emergence of Timmons
IMHO, the emergence of Timmons has been the most surprising & refreshing development of the early season. We already knew about Troy, Aaron, and getting McFadden back, but who could have predicted he would suddenly be so dominant? His intensity and level of play is twice that of last season and is the primary reason we are undefeated so far. It seems Dick likes his play so much that he's been using Timmy as the primary spy when facing double-threat QB's or great pass-catching RB's. I heard he had a very good camp, but what I'm witnessing is just absolutely ridiculous. The last guy to suddenly burst out of nowhere stands just outside of him, but unlike Silverback, Timmy is getting his shot at a much younger age. I think his improvement puts this 'D' over the top this year. Sunday will be another test to see just how great he is becoming. If Rice is 100% healthy, Timmy will more than likely be all over him! This season we have 4 or 5 dominant playmakers on the D and I feel that the Ratbird's offense just does not have an answer.
I can remember watching the Steelers as far back as 1973 and it just amazes me that year after year we pump out linebacker studs irregardless of what decade or who is coaching the team. What in the hell do they put in the water in western PA?? Seems to affect QB's born in the area too!
BTW - Pouncey is an absolute effin stud! I've been recording the games and find myself rewinding to single him out & it is very impressive what he is doing to opposing veteran D-linemen.
Heres to Sunday... 3 Cheers to yinz all

+1 on Pouncey.
As an ex-O-lineman, I isolate on line play most of the game. Pouncey is playing lights-out... controlling D linemen, hustling downfield to make plays, and generally playing with intensity. Reminds me a lot of Dirt, except with a little meaner edge, I think.

Re: The Emergence of Timmons
Double R has a bad wheel this week. He has no chance of out running the Law-Dawg.
Timmons' speed is something that Pittsburgh's defense is just starting to utilize. LT's crushing tackles against the run proves that he has taken the next step in becoming a complete linebacker for the Steelers. It's going to be fun to watch him as he continues his breakout season. The more experience he has, the more of his dynamic abilities we will see. Harrison, Woodley and Timmons could all record double digit sacks before the season is over.
Pouncey has been such a breathe of fresh air. The Steelers have had some good play along the offensive line so far this year, and he has been one of the dominating factors as to why. I doubt there are 3 players from the entire '10 draft who could have given the Steelers the same positive impact as Maurkice Pouncey. What a steal, and he is only going to get better.
