O-line vs. D-line

Postby IronCity__Man » Mon Sep 27, 2010 5:48 pm

Good article with statistics links for every good stillers fan to read

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/kerry_byrne/09/23/steelers/index.html

Basically describes how we have the best defensive front 7 in football and the worst (statistically) on the offensive side of the ball.

Good article, but don"t need stats to tell me that. Can see it watching a game.

And that brings up the age-old question (In Pittsburgh, anyway...) "How much longer must we endure this disparity?" Is no one in the F.O. paying attention? How many years must the defense carry this team??

This is a bullshit article. It was written after week 2 when we're playing our 3rd and then a cold 4th string QB and everyone was stacking the box to stop the run. Still, last week, Mendy goes off big and we give up 0 sacks.
W/a rookie center and a new RT, this line will take time to jell but after week 3, it's a helluva lot better than dead last in the league. We'll see more after Sunday, but to throw dirt on them now is BS.
