Did someone say streams?
Attention Stiller faithful!
I've been in the US Navy for a year now, and having been in it, I've learned of a couple phenomenal streaming sites.
You can thank my lack of television but excessive amounts of "World of Warcraft" nerds with super-powered routers for finding them. (I'm in a techie rate, and still in school.)
www.atdhe.net
and www.rajangan.net
Over the past 2009 season, 2010 college season, and 2010 preseason, I've been using these sites to see almost any game I want.
On the day and time of the game, click the link (clearly listed on the webpage), and you should be good to go!
Notes:
*WOW nerd friends' routers are easily the best, since these streams obviously require fast connections.
*I do not endorse these websites, and for the record, you never saw me.
*There are 2 extra downloads that atdhe (the better sight imo) may ask you to do (not all the streams require them though).
One is vshare: A relatively pointless download that makes your stream slightly smoother. Mostly harmless, may add a toolbar on your browser. You should be able to find another stream not requiring it though.
The other is veetle: Simply put, veetle is the shit. Harmless download that gives you EXTREMELY good quality (in comparison to other streams) and is well worth the short wait.
*Any questions can be directed to this thread, which will be bumped for the first couple games. However, keep in mind I fix radars, not computers.
*Don't go spreading these sites to every Johnny whosits you know. The only reason I finally told about them was because I'm moving to Norfolk, VA where I will be getting cable and have plenty of bars to watch the games.
*A good test for these streams will be the Minnesota New Orleans battle tomorrow night. I'm sure there will be links for it.

Re: Did someone say streams?
just a quick thanks - I have gone in internet circles in the past looking for such streams. I began to believe they were nothing more than ad campaigns with no real finishing line. Then worried about malware. Glad to have some focus to it all.
Re: Did someone say streams?
Well, don't think there wasn't some trial and error on my part. I actually did run into some malware looking for some games on other websites. Really fucked up my computer, too.
These are the only two sites that I trust. (Other than justin.tv which they both root from) I'm sure there are others, but I'm done looking for them at this point.
The ad campaigns have really started to cover all the bases, including making fake questions on q&a sites such as answerbag and yahoo answers, just to put up realistic looking fake answers. Not to mention the fact that they've even putting up fake links on these two trusted sites. (none I've seen yet on atdhe but I have found one on Rajangan) However, it's important to note these links should directly play the stream, not produce an ad to another site. Keeping that in mind, one can safely navigate either site.
Those circles you mentioned are another reason why I decided to tell the whole site about the streams.

This has got to be the most worthwhile post on this board in many many months. I will check these out. Thanks.

Re: Did someone say streams?
NFL Cops discovered Justin TV last year and have been shutting sites down left and right. I think they must be employing a staff of 30 or 40 at this point since most of the threads I watched for preseason games were killed by halftime.
Good Luck!

I'm getting less and less impressed with the NFL media machine. Their online "HQ" video is horrible - you can get better on youtube. NFL .com even requires a dowload of some Akami driven machinery for this pixxelated crap. I love how it is called HQ versus HD. NFL.com routinely gets outgunned for stats information by amateur sites like Profootball reference, and you can find better depth charts on just about every other site. NFL TV has some of the most crackpot announcers in the business. How many times must we watch Brian Ballicker's schtick of showing us his broken finger.
All the while Goodell is pressing for one-stop shopping on their website and tv channel comparing the NFL to the music industry.
Now we still have to wait until 2014 just for the hope that Sunday Ticket goes to regular cable companies so I don't have to grow the State Flower of West Virginia off the southwestern corner of my house.

Now that is funny

Re: Did someone say streams?
Thanks for the stream links ILLSTILL. I was able to watch the game up until midway thru the 4th Q before Big Brother killed the link. The picture quality was actually pretty good and quite fluid, even on my not-so-juiced-up Acer laptop. Very much appreciated.
