Re: New Article: Best Bet (plus two)
Football wouldn't be the same without bold wagers and cocky predictions...
Clev @ TB UNDER 37: Just about every total for every game looks like an under to me week 1, but this game in particular looks solid. The under has cashed in 7 out of the last 8 games for Tampa with the AFC North. Cleveland has played under the total in all of the last 8 meetings with the NFC South. Neither of these teams offenses are impressive. This seems like such a square play, but on a level of 1-5 with 5 being the most confident, I'd rate this a 5.
Ari @ STL+4: I like just about every home dog this week also... Points here are pretty much worthless most likely. If the Rams can cover the 4 then they will win this game SU. Arizona might should be favored by 4 in Glendale right now, but it makes little sense why they are giving 4 on the road. Sam Bradford played well in the preseason, and while those games and $5 will buy a small cup of coffee at Star Bucks, I like that he faced some tough 3-4 defenses for this match up. On the 1-5 rating system, this would get a 3 from me.
Props
Houston to score the most points 15/1: Although Haven likes the Colts, I see that Houston holds good prop value here. The Houston Texans are 1-15 lifetime against Indianapolis, but if there was ever a game to take advantage of the Colts it is this one. Super Bowl losers like the Colts are known to play a little sloppy the following season. The Texans have done nothing over the years to hide the fact they want to win against Manning and Co. To take advantage of this great opportunity week one they will likely need lots of points. Steve Slaton where are you?
Defensive/Special Teams TD Atl @ Pit: Matty Ice will have a melt down, or James Harrison will strip off Michael "Burner" Turner's skin and leave him in the sun to cook...Then there is always Jeff Reed on kick offs. Either way, it's going to happen.

Wow. Can't believe I picked the Rams 50 mill might buy a quarterback for the leagues worst team, but it doesn't guarantee wins. This has to be a huge fade.
