So basically what we learned was this "best bet" rant really means "best guess" as he finished a mediocre 50/50 not only in the regular season, but in the playoffs. Hope to not see this crap next season

Saints +5.5 over Colts- Assuming the Steelers were not going to be playing this evening, the Saints would be my next choice of team to cheer for in this Super Bowl. In fact, I can't think of a team I would rather see lose SBXLIV than the Colts. I'm fired up to watch this. My take is the team which makes the best halftime adjustments is going to win. Both offenses are likely to be unstoppable at times, so which ever side can make better schematic tweaks should have the decisive advantage. The Colts will come to play for 60 minutes as they did 14 times during the regular season. New Orleans will play with the same passion they had when trying to lock up home field. Cool Brees will be ready. He will have the Saints excited and focused. Peyton Manning will fall on his face. Indianapolis will not run effectively , and leave it up to the rookies and Manning alone to secure a win. Saints 34 Colts 30.

saints will pull off the shocker. indy doesn't have their best weapon vs the saints near 100% at all (freeney) and that will hurt their chances badly. indy without freeney might be worse off than the steelers D without harrison

I thought that the team who made the best strategic changes at halftime would have the advantage, but it was the exact opposite. It was the team that stuck to the plan for the game, and maintained their identity from all season that was the winner. The Saints called the aggressive onsides kick with one thing in mind; get Drew Brees the football and trust him to do the rest. Great call. A lot of coaches would have gotten conservative if their calculated risks seemed to backfire. Excellent choice by New Orleans to continue to roll the dice, because it led them to victory.
