Re: New Article: Best Bet Extra (Conference Championships)
Was anybody sad when Dallas lost? The Cowboys better get Romo to the best gynecologist they can find soon for a head to toe exam. Tony looked like he farted in church after that first turnover. You could see in his eyes how he longed to pull an Indianapolis Colts and fold his tent right there. 55 minutes left in a play off game vs. his boy hood idol and that bush wanted to go home. The Cryboys are going to have a tough time winning Super Bowls w/o home field adv, and the nature of their division is not likely ever going to allow them the #1 seed. Fans and other NFL sludge alike can't pin this shit on T.O.. Speaking of NFL sludge, that brings us to the undisputed leader of the Thumbsuckers Union, Norv Turner. I'm not going to take this opportunity and throw Norv under the bus though. I thought about it, and decided that it would be much better to throw him into the bBus. Bigger splat effect. Norv, those were your players jumping up and down like they had won the Super Bowl after stopping the Jets for a 3 yard gain on their first play from scrimmage? Hm? Mmhm. Mmmmmhmm. I thought so.
Onto this weeks picks. I waited the extra day to try to pick up an advantage...
Under 40- I like the Jets here, and that is the reason for thinking this total will stay low. New York should be able to give Indianapolis a game. I want to see how bad the Colts want this. Indy won some close games this season. They also lost their final two games. How much will desire kick in for the home team here. I also want to see Peyton Manning. Let him loosely grip the dagger between thumb and forefinger, tilt his head back, open his mouth and dangle another epic choke job. The gawking and drooling done over this regular season chump is well documented, but what has he ever done to put himself in a category of winners, post season winners. Please don't bring up his Super Bowl win vs Rex "Gator Bait" Grossman. Show me any reason why this guy deserves anything but a cracker jack ring and/or a vesting interest contract in the NFL Referee Retirement Pool. My pick is the Colts defense will take care of business keep this total low. 23-16.
Saints -4 over Vikings- There is no one more emotional than Drew Brees. Nobody has as much fun game in and game out as Brett Favre. This week, I think these two reverse roles. Brees is going to have lots of fun, and Favre is going to be very emotional. Brett of course will want to retire if his team loses. I for one hope that the media stays out of his business. It's obvious that he can come to camp when he wants and play at an elite level. Lets hope people don't forget this. I have no interest in the calling for euthanization of #4 once more...Seriously, do people come to our jobs and tell us to retire. Take into account also, we probably suck at what we do...

Heeyyyyy, I wasn't sure anyone read my babble anymore So what your saying is no one can help Roma. Madden may have said it best, "Don't you feel that this guy can just sink the 8-ball?". Unfortunately for him, if the 1,4,6,&10 are still on the table he loses.
