is troy coming back next week?
just curious, anyone know his injury status? they been quiet about it for some time..
Re: is troy coming back next week?
There are some in here that would tell you to keep him on the bench, and even others saying to sit the other starters to save from injuries and to look forward to next years draft.
One only has to look at Carolina defeating the Vikings to see that every game is important, even if we were 3-12, I'd rather see us fight like hell to get to 4-12 and save face. When anyone looks back on this organization years from now, they don't think of "well, they were playing for next years' draft that year and saving personel from injury". Not our organization, our organization plays football to win, always....ALWAYS.
The Steelers rarely have any losing seasons, the least in NFL history since the merger. In fact, the Steelers (including the '70 and '71 losing seasons) have had only 9 losing seasons in 40 years. No one else claims this excellence. This among the many other winning records, winning %, SB's playoffs is why we are the Steelers and second to none. You fucking pos(t)ers who think it's smart to lose and rebuild for next year don't know the Steelers.

Who knows when he's coming back? They've lied about his injury from the start.

Re: is troy coming back next week?
agree, well i just hope he's back soon. i'll be a lot more confident that winning out would be likely if he's back in our lineup. we are hurting bad with ty carter and ryan 'toast' clark back there

Troy at 30% is better than Carter at 100%
Re: is troy coming back next week?
Even if he comes back this defense will still struggle. One thing that can cover for a bad secondary is a pass rush, which has been lacking.Where is James Harrison?Anyone remember last time he made a game changing play?Woodley has played better lately but Farrior is done and Timmons took a step back this year. Not what you expect for the 15th pick in the draft.

I remember reading something saying he hoped to be back for the final game. So unless that's changed he won't be playing this week. This is the game where we REALLY need him. If he were playing, I'd be pretty confident we make the playoffs. Without him, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Momlin made Yahoo
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=a ... &type=lgns
Surprisingly good article that hits on some key points about our defense. Mainly that the subs are no better, if not worse, than the secondary starters. Namely Joe Burnett, whose play is perhaps the worst, THE FUCKING WORST, of ALL STEELERS
The more I think of Burnett the angrier I get. They ostracize and crucify (rightly) Sweed but this turd Burnett gets a pass
Let me highlight
1) drops lollipop INT that would have salted away the win that would have us IN THE PLAYOFFS
2) POST GAME INTERVIEW HE DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
3) Incorrectly blitzes last play of Oakland game leaving Mundy to cover 2/3 people
4) multitude of shitty coverage plays in which he gives up big gainers
5) blows coverage by getting turned around on Rodgers TD that gives packers 34-30 lead
FUCK BURNETT!! GET HIM THE FUCK OUT OF HERE! BUST!!!!
