We wish only the best for Ariens

Postby bigjoespompano » Thu Dec 17, 2009 2:14 pm

C,mon folks! The Man did get us a SB victory and he DID do his best for us every Sunday (in his limited mental capicity), right? I say we let by-gones be by-gones and wish him all the best next year after his 'mutually agreed to' resignation from the Steeler organization when the season ends.

The man is a football coach who has reached the highest level in coaching (next to HC) and we would, in no way, wish to see him humiliated by taking anything 'lower' some place else. We would very much like to see this man resume his OC status with another NFL Franchise and believe very strongly that he would be an excellent 'fit' with another good organization.

This said , it is our understanding that the Cleveland organization just might be bringing in that fine, fine fellow that used to coach the Packers and the Seahawks, Mr. Mike Holmgren.
A better man couldn't be found for such a fine team! And what would be even better is if he, in his infinate football wisdom, would see it in his heart to bring good old Bruce Ariens home!

Yes, a team headed by Holmgren, run by Mangini and Offensively Coached by our friend and all around good guy, Brue Ariens! THAT my friends would be a CLASS organization and one that the fans of Cleveland could be rightly proud of!

Good Luck Bruce and get that resume in quickly! They NEED you up there in Ohio! :suxfingers:

First of all, crediting Bruce Arians for the SuperBowl Win is like crediting Trent Dilfer back when the Ravens won.

When the game goes no huddle, Ben is calling the plays. As he did on the game winning drive.

Secondly, Arians did not "ascend" into the position of offensive coordinator, he won it by default.

Ken Whisenhunt up and left, leaving no actual recomended successor behind. And with him he took the only other decent offensive mind, Russ Grimm.

Bruce Arians in no way earned the job of offensive coordinator WHICH WAS THE WHOLE PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH

I agree Dirt: I have no idea what Joe is talking about? Crediting Bruce Arians for getting us a superbowl, you sir are smoking crack!! Our offense pretty much sucked donkey dick last year, alot of the games the Steelers won were won in the last 3 minutes, in the 2-minute offense with Ben calling ALL of the plays. Arians did nothing to win us any games, let alone win us the superbowl. And Dirt is right, Arians won the OC position by default. Tomlin knew nothing about offense, apparently still doesn't, and promoted Bruce rather than trying to go out and hire someone else. When Bruce was fired in Cleveland, nobody wanted this asshole as their OC. Hit the road Bruce and never come back!!!

Gentlemen (Big E and Dirt Dawson), I think you might be missing the irony here...

Perhaps Arians is so f-ing bad that we shouldn’t even be joking about him. I don't know.
