Politicians and Steeler coaches - strangely similar
Call me crazy but I'm beginning to hear that old adage about politicians in the back of my head and it fits very well with what we are seeing this season. It is simply this "A Politician will listen to you as long as he is standing next you and promise to do what ever you (the country) needs at that time. Then he gets to Washington and is totally removed from the 'real' world thus, forgetting what ever he was told or promised to do for the people that put him there."
I see the Steeler coaching staff EXACTLY the same way. Sure, maybe they have a litttle contact with the 'folks' during their stay at Latrobe but then they go into their world of 'big sports' and 'big media' and totally forget about what is being said out here, in the real world.
Does ANYONE in that organization have ANY idea how the fans feel about the coaching jobs being performed this season? Are they listening at all??? Are they hearing ANYTHING that's being said out here on the Streets of the Steeler Nation? And do they freekin care? The 'folks' are SCREAMING about Ariens and his little pal the Special Teams coach but they remain happily employed week after week, continuing to make a complete mess of things.
How in God's name do we get through to these people and get them to listen to us? Must we storm the castle with lit torches and pitch forks and DEMAND that Tomlin send out the Monster so we can deal with him ourselves??
