Kudos to Dixon

Postby DirtDawson » Mon Nov 30, 2009 1:11 am

He put up a valiant effort, all things considered.

Making your first career NFL start against the Ravens at Baltimore, for him to do what he did, must have exceeded all realistic expectations of him.

It was his very first start, and he manage the game well in the first half. I think he showed alot of potential.

Of course he had some really bad misthrows. But again, these are things rookie QB's tend to need to work on.

He actually had more offensive production than we usually see from a QB playing in Baltimore.

I dont know about you guys, but I was pretty hopefull in what we saw. Maybe if Airhead Arians was fired, or they figure out how to use more running plays with Dixon, he'd be a very viable backup QB.

Fire Arians. That's a start.

I'll give Dixon some credit. He made some good plays, and some boners too. He had a couple good scrambles. He struggled with the soft zone. It wasn't too bad an effort considering he had to make his first start against the Ratbirds.
Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!

The defense failed us again. 17-14 in the 4th quarter and they couldn't hold the lead yet again.

Sorry, but after Troy, the secondary is total shit.

Dixon had a nice effort. Missed some throws, but stayed in the pocket pretty much.

The pick was tough -- good design by the Ravens defense and not something Dixon could be expected to have experience to really look for. I was hoping for some misdirection on that play, something that would get him moving for a pass, run option.

BTW, the play before was illegal contact on the Ratbirds cornerback, just like the announcers were highlighting of Taylor in the fourth quarter.
