Without Troy

Postby Lake37 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 5:07 pm

Bottom line is without Troy we are not a playoff caliber team. I think that was proven today and earlier in the year.

I disagree.

I completely blame st's and offensive struggles for this debacle.

Then again, we did have zero turnovers...

Agree for this loss.
Just saying our D is average with out Troy.
Can stop the run, but not the pass.
And there is no fear to throw because Ike can't catch & Clark only hits.
No fear of being picked off.

I agree, even though the Bengals were held without an offensive touchdown, the defense becomes as soft as a vanilla ice cream cone from Dairy Queen when Troy doesn't play, no blitzing at all and soft corner play. Unfortuanately, I think Troy will be bothered by this injury all year. Although, he should be able to rest it an extra week with the Chiefs game coming up.

Our secondary would look helluva lot better if we could generate some consistent heat on the QB. I think we had a couple of sacks today, but not nearly enough pressure throughout the game (call Mr. Woodley).

That's bull. D did ok today. This loss is on the offense (and, of course, ST)... Holmes makes the easy catch and/or Ben hits Wallace when he's open to the corner and it's a whole different conversation...they need more heat and Clark needs to old to that INT... that was the final turning point.
