FWP focus????
http://www.steelers.com/article/113263/
For running back Willie Parker, who is still recovering from turf toe, football won’t be part of the plans for the bye.
“I’m not going to watch football at all,†said Parker. “I’m going to chill, I’m going to relax a little bit and kind of have fun with my family. I’m just going to relax and watch movies and do stuff I normally wouldn’t do.â€
Uhhh??? What??? Even in high school we would check out the team we were going to play next. We didn't even get paid for that. Then to admit it???? WTH???

Re: FWP focus????
he knows his walking papers are already signed BUT if he really wanted to make a good impression on another team you would at least think that he would lie and say he is doing something other then sitting around and wasting space

The Fast Willie time has come and gone thanks for the memories. I will never forget the longest run for touchdown in SB history. Thanks Willlie

I am not convinced he is completely done yet, but we will see what's left when he's 100%. You would think he would go balls to the wall given his impending free agency! His biggest problem is that he does not hit the holes hard. I always thought he was most effective working out of a 2 back set.

Re: FWP focus????
willie's problem is he tries to run like he's jerome bettis jr, and that shit won't work when he's barely 200 lbs. it may work for a couple games, then injury happens because he's really not big enough to handle that kind of constant pounding. as a change of pace back, he's great, but he's not built to be the steelers full-time back. however I like the idea of him and mendenhall healthy at the end of the season going into the playoffs
Re: FWP focus????
I've read quotes from football players that they don't watch football on TV. If they want to see an opponent they watch the game footage as prepared by the coaches. It's much more efficient and you get the views they don't show on TV.

I would think you might like to hear things from an anouncer's perspective once in awhile. Phil Simms gives good insight as does a few others. You just might learn something that they learned from their pre-game prep and conversations with players and coaches. They may be "no secrets" in the league, but once in awhile a blind squirrel finds an acorn.
That you wouldn't want to see who you have coming up is amazing to me.
But then they're gettin' paid for what they do so I guess they know the hey they're doin'. Beats me.
