Strolling Around

Postby IronCity__Man » Tue Oct 27, 2009 1:49 pm

Pardon me if I actually missed this topic embedded in another post but I haven't seen it yet

What the hell is wrong with the Steelers D ambling around before the snap and not even lined up by the time the ball is hiked? Favre caught us at least 4 times at this including on a 3rd and 18 pass on the sideline to Sidney Rice.

It took Favre longer to catch on to this than I expected. He could have caught the steelers off guard 4 or 5 plays earlier. At times, the nose tackle (Kirschke positioned there in the dime) had his back turned away from the center with Favre taking the snap.

What is this - backyard football?

I agree IC....at first I thought they were disguising the blitz or confusing the Minn O-line but more than once Farve snapped the ball and WE WERE NOT READY!!!!! WTF

this was indeed by design; early in the game Favre was waiting fo rthe Steelers to set themselves so the OL knew who to block; that did not work so well & he caught the steelers a couple later in the game. all in all, not a horrible thing to do once in awhile but I would have put it away once he did a quick snap that gained some positive yardage. I kinda liked it! :subngtowl:
