AS I have said, I am as disappointed as anyone at how we start out the season. But I always force myself to see big picture from week to week. Here is why I am not ready to concede the season to anyone else and still believe our Super Bowl chances are as good as anyone.

Division Title:
We have a lot of guys with heart on our team. WE play in Prime Time next week at Home against a Contender. (Prime Time, Home, Contender). WE will step up and light them up. Fear of 1-3 is not the issue. Reclaiming our respect will be. I fully expect us to knock San Diego around next weekend. Not to mention that we will already know the outcome of the Ravens- Patriots matchup.

It is likely that the Pats beat the Ravens. I would not be surprised if the Ravens win, but I am thinking at home the PAtriots pull it out. So after we play next week, we will be 2-2 and the RAvens 3-1. We would be one game back with two game to play them straight up. I still like our chances.

Besides the Ravens, I fear no one on our schedule except us. If we get back to form, I expect us to put on an 8 or 9 game win streak. If we do not get it together, then these losses won't matter anyway. Our season will be lost if we lose to the opponents on our schedule.

In other words, you end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it types, we should be 3 and o. We could be 0 and 3 just as easy. We are a championship team who gave 2 away. I believe our bell has been rung and we will make a statement next weekend.

PGSHIT WROTE:Have you read your post yet? If so then I will tell you that the vomit is indeed from your post and not last nights hamburger. What a futile exercise in blind hope and misguided fan loyalty. Every sentence of that post is rooted in wrongeheaded thinking. Hope blows. Hard work and brutal self assesment does not

The bullshit factor of your post puts the onus for our success in the hands of THE PATRIOTS BEATING THE RATBIRDS? EASILY BEATING THE CHARGERS?

Wake up fool. We need to win one game at a time and to do that the Stillers must fix a multitude of problems.

My prediction of the outcome of last week was correct.

Your prediction was shit doucheboy. You threw a bunch of turds at the wall and your celebrating over the one that stuck

There you go again, PGFKR.

I predicted we would respond to the San Diego Challenge on a Prime Time Sunday night game and we would win... easily.

I also suggested that by gametime, we would know the results of the Patsies-Ravens game. I said I expected the Patsies to win at home, while acknowledging that the Ravens had the talent to win.

My predictions were correct. You called me names and then just now accused me of throwing crap against the wall... again showing your class or your age. Damn, go talk your junk somewhere else -Don't you have a xbox or wii?

You are a blowjob. The analyst community has ravaged our defense all week long for its poor play and for almost pissing away the SD game. That performance by the D was considered MORE alarming in victory than previous efforts in defeat. Nice try douche boy

So of you choose to wallow in misery instead of being happy we played well enough to win (special teams cost us 14 points and we won by 10) even though we had to overcome some extremely bad play. PGHEAVEN, let it go. Our feud is over.

Should a defense that was number one last season and wanted to be considered with the best of all times be proud that they could not stop a team after an on side kick. Last years team would not have given up a touchdown after the on side kick and a good chance not even a field goal. This is not Stiller football Bitches so quit wallowing in a shallow victory and saying all is well.

I agree with all the criticism of our play, our execution and our lack of focus in the 4th quarter. I understand how we seemed to fall off the table in the second half.

I will not, however, allow my displeasure at our play to override the fact that we found a way to win -and we WON the game, it wasn't handed to us by the other team or the officials. We overcame some PISS POOR decisions on the field and the sideline, but we won. We still have 3/4 of the season ahead of us, Troy is on the way back and we still OWN our destiny.

I believe that this is the same team that won the super bowl last year and that we will still finish the season in the top tier of the AFC (and win our division) and have EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO REPEAT. We sputtered to a 2-2 start, not 1-3 or 0-4. Our best football is ahead.

To say that the Pats or Ravens would have handed us our butts... I say we just as easily would have stayed focused against better competition and blown them out. I put my hypothesis up against yours and both are impoossible to prove. That is, until we play them and I hope we do see the Patsies in the playoffs. I am disappointed in our play for sure, but I still get excited about what lies ahead.... oh yeah and Fire Arians.

You are a faggot. I hope our defense gets its act together. Every analyst in the universe is asking the same questions. Most fans too, except of course LG - the "sublime" faggot

So, you're calling the guy a bunch of sticks? Brilliant, way to contribute.

this site used to be awesome, i always told all my friends about it and now look at it, its like three years olds fighting over a toy, only a slightly more vulgar vocabulary. what happened to the days when you could come here, post a thread get some honest feedback and not be called names. and as far as the games go, who cares how the steelers win, like coach tomlin says style points don't matter. sure there are issues, but as an actual fan of the team its better to be at least realistic and not look for everything that can go wrong. this is a team of professionals who have proven they can and are the best at times, they'll figure it out, and if they don't? that doesn't give someone the right to blast another person for their opinions, positive or negative. this is supposed to be a fan site where we fans come together and discuss like rational adults our favorite team, not sling mud and fecal matter at one another.
