Parker likely out Sunday

Postby FineLine » Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:55 am

Bouchette of the Post Gazette is reporting Parker is not practicing today because of turf toe. He's missed 3 days of work and most likely won't play Sunday.
Earlier this week I was optimistic about getting to 5-2 before the bye week. Now I'm not so sure.

As long as we go with more Moore than Mendy, we will be just fine. Say it with me, "More Moore!!, More Moore!!, More Moore!! "

to be honest i think we have a better shot winning WITHOUT parker. remember when moore filled in for him last season?

in our current offense, moore is the better player. having him start is actually good news to me

Dulac's update this morning said that Mendy would start if FWP cannot go.

im all for giving mendenhall a shot, but in a must-win i'd rather go with experience and start mewelde moore, who proved a capable starter last year.

anyway hopefully mendenhall doesn't 'sweed' this opportunity. this game is HUGE and will probably dictate what kind of direction this team will be going in, can he handle the pressure of a must-win game?

They better get Moore in there at least part time. Mendenhall just hasn't figured out what it takes ( & he may never).

Moore or Mendy is a upgrade from glass wille lets hope one of them has a break out game or 2 the next 2 weeks and GWP gets to ride the pine out the rest of his stillers career

When did Willies injury come up? He was increasingly ineffective as the 2nd half went on. Maybe Mendenhall being benched backfired on Coach T.

Parker can't stay healthy at all. Good ridance to this guy at the end of the year. There is no way the Steelers will resign this guy, the problem lies in Mendy. If he can't carry the pig full-time, the Steelers are going to have some problems in the offseason, especially with a no cap year.

Let's have some faith in the boy we call mendy. He only has played in 6 regular season games. With experience and patience, he could become a great asset to the Steeler Offense.
