Practice Notes

Postby thesteelhammer » Wed Sep 30, 2009 7:52 pm

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward (rest) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 30.

What the heck kind of reason is "rest"?

Camp CupCake continues.

Is it my HDTV or does Hines look a bit thicker this season? Me thinks Ward has been following Woodley to the Stillers cafeteria for 3rds and 4ths this year.

Hines has said publicly that it is the rest that Tomlin gives him throughout the year that enables him to make it through a season at this age. It's a long year and Hines isn't getting any younger

Not getting any younger is right his game play doesnt show that he takes a day off from practice doesnt mean hes not watching film and studying the play book.
"Now that I'm here, I don't want to just be here, I want to be here for a long time." Hines Ward :D, 1998.

Let Hines sit out every practice and give the reps to Limas. Drill that dude so he can't fail even if he wants.

I think a lot of Sweed's issue is mental, so I don't know if making catches in practice is really going to fix that. He just needs to make one big catch in a game at some point... And if he at all values his career as a Steeler, he better do it soon!
