I was wondering when a Clark 'The Ghost' Haggans reference would come up... I agree with your assessment of Woodleys' total lack of production. Taunto needs to sit, and Key Fox should play. It couldn't be any worse than the total lack of production we're getting now from Farrior.

Limass Peed needs to be cut, and Wallace needs to be immediately elevated to the third receiver spot. Santonio had better start producing, or Wallace should take his spot. Either way Wallace is proving his worth, Holmes isn't. Arians is a joke with no comprehension of how to use the weapons we have. Sit Mendy, and barely use Moore, come on... Arians needs to be gone period.
Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!

Still - if you're looking for a Wallace jersey... just get out your old "Jefferson Street" Joe Gilliam jersey. That should do it!

Great Slag! Fuck twitters and blogs, give me slag any day of the week

Still - your review and subsequent analysis of the 4th & 10 abortion goa one step further in the indictment of the coaching job against the Bungals

How does Steeler Nation let Momlin know that he is on notice?

Thanks Mill for the article. There's something about reading points that I agree with across the board that take a little bit (emphasize little) of the sting of a week's loss. I also get frustrated with the coaching ineptness and I really wonder if anything can or will be done. Knowing the Stillers history, it seems highly unlikely any changes would be made in midseason. That being said, this is YOUR team Coach Tomlin and rather than totally abdicating all major strategy and planning to coordinators, step up and apply yourself. You were heralded as a coach with a high level of intelligence for the game and detailed preparation. This situation requires you to BE the HEAD coach and make the appropriate decisions.
There...I feel a little better.

And by the way, other than the loss of money for paying a piece of crap like Sweed, what's the problem with just making him inactive and bringing up McDonald. Even the one armed man from the Fugitive has a better chance of holding onto the ball.

I pretty much agree with everything you said except the back catching touchdowns. Parker would make Roberto Duran proud. When he caught the TD it looked like he paused for a count as if he were suprised he caught it. If we're to use the RB in the passing game, then either you have to empty the dog house or play Moore, more.

Further, you beat divisional rivals like the Browns & Bungals and you send them into a tailspin of second-guessing, finger-pointing, coach-firings and rebuilding. I have a feeling that if the Steelers had beaten Cinci, Lewis would be gone by season's end and the housecleaning would begin, setting them back by another 5 years. The truth is that every team in the league has real talent -- even Detroit! -- but learning to win is difficult and some teams never figure it out. By letting CInci win the Stillers are letting the Bengals learn how to be men and progress as a team.

That's why I come here first.

Still Mill, I'm interested to hear what you make of Coach Tomlin's Cowher-like comment about "not concerned with being able to put teams away early." This comment is very disconcerting. Why the hell isn't he concerned with it. God knows that philosophy has failed him twice in consecutive weeks.

Mill - Thank you for the GREAT SLAG.

Stillers should be 3:0 and only because of COACHING we are 1:2.

1) Agree on ALL points about BA
2) Agree on ALL points about DickLB
3) Agree about Tomlin.

Team will start to grumble. Even as a player, if your game has NO FLOW on Off, no Power on Deff., and ST are sucking -> I would start losing it.

And if Tomlin truly is "not concerned" by winning "early" then all I can say is - thank you for SB6, and please, don't let the door hit you on your way out Mike.

Absolutely horrific example of how POORLY these players are coached is the INT on the 3rd play of the second half, and subsequently, how OPEN bungholes have been in our RZ.

Jeff Reed is another story - but he will bounce back.

I could understand a problem here or there on Offense, or perhaps on D, maybe even a bit on the ST... but ALL 3 have serious issues now - for ALL 3 GAMES.

It is scary to think that Tomlin is "not worried", and that he's yapping his cliche garbage of "...learn from it, move on, improve, and win more..."

I'm fkin sick already (just because I think they may stink the place up).

B.

Ok, and now I get a text stating that Frank "the paper tank" Summers is put on IR? and that we signed DAVIS?!? WTF?

Why is Cower, err Tomlin, willing to let Issac Redman rot on the pratice squad?!? :supissed:

I've heard of players getting lazy after a superbowl win, but the HC, c'mon.

WTF is going on in Steelertown?

After the fine job Billy Cowhard did in his last season here, Mike Tomlin wants to top him for his last season. Proofs in the comment above.

How about this: we have 2 great players on D, Troy and Jimmy Harrison. We have a few decent players on D: A. Smith, Fat Casey (when he decides to play), Ike, Timmons (who is ready for greatness - but...). The rest of the D are hacks. I don't know what the thinking was with Farrior or Brett Dicksickle signings, cause they suck. I mean, when has Brett done ANYTHING??? I don't think the issue is LeBeau, I think it's the fact he has just a few really good players. I think he does a heck of a job with the shit he has to work with. The issue is with Colbert. Look at how many draft picks have shit the bed in recent years. Maybe Cowher was a little better at evaluating that we thought? Post-Cowher- Woodley has been exposed, Sweed can't catch a cold, Mendy can't figure out the playbook...no o-line picks that have panned out...I sense cold years ahead...did Tomlin walk into the SB because of Cowher's tracks (they just needed a new message) or does he know what he's doing. I'm not sure. I have a feeling Tomlin got lucky and is full of shit, and we're in for some lean years.

Yeah, I was about to say, if he has another game like the one against the Bungles, I'm definitely getting one.

But are you sure you don't want a Woodley jersey? :celebrate:
