LYNN SWANN QUESTION...

Postby Crucible-steel-kid » Tue Sep 22, 2009 1:27 pm

Alright, I am probably going to catch holy hell for asking about this, but here goes:

I remember watching the 70's Steelers play on Sunday and my Pa was taking a shit downstairs, my Ma was God knows where enjoying some quiet time for herself, rest of family gone for the morning, so I was the only one in the living room watching this play develop.

The reason I state this is that I cannot remember the other team involved or the players, but it did happen. I was talking to a friend of mine over the weekend and explained what happened.

Swanney either missed a pass or caught it and was flat on his back, on the right side of the hashmarks downfield. The defensive players responsible for covering him came up to Swann, one picked him up by his shoulder pads and looked at his team mate and motioned "pick him up at his feet and we'll swing him like a hammock". They did it a couple of times and the dude that had his ankles put him down and basically said "don't do this shit". I was watching this screaming my friggin head off as to why there wasn't a G.D. benchclearing and Lambert's Lunatics leading the charge to kick their asses out of the stadium if the refs didn't call a personal foul-NOTHING HAPPENED!!???!!!?? I would like to know what team that was and who the players were (not Tatum B.T.W.) I should've asked Swann when he appeared on the Bus's show down at Metropol in the Strip District when I saw him there...damn...

Yeah, I really can't believe the stuff they got away with. I understand now what Swanney said when he basically aluded to the fact that he was glad he retired...

I cannot believe how many "Steeler's fans" that were born and bred in southwester Pennsylvania do not even remember this happening and how long I was wondering why it never shows up in highlight films...

Remember now, the stillers can only get so much good media attention. We are only allowed 7 super bowls every 47 years.

And countless ass gapings of bitchass bearbungles and the brown trouts of clevageland.
